Anyone in this forum dealing with NF1?
Do you know what NF1 is?

Neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF-1) is an autosomal dominant genetic disorder that causes tumors to grow on the covering of the nerves anywhere in the body at any time. The disorder affects 1 in 3,000 males and females of all races and ethnic groups. The NF-1 gene is located on chromosome 17.

I don't have NF1, but find it interesting that these things are grouped and a known genetic disorder and would be interested in finding out more about it. What do you have, if you are willing to share? PM is ok too, if it is too much here.


I had spider nevi as a child and weird pale stripes up back of my calves (dust wouldn't hang on their either) and a couple hair patches on my torso. As an adult I have a Graves/hashimoto's combo thing, some autoimmune on lab tests, but doesn't fit any 1 thing. I've felt a mutant all my life, wonder if my stuff has a genetic base.
