5. Good Stuff
IRC, ibuprofen use in particular is associated with dramatically-lower incidence of breast, lung, colon, and other cancers, and Alzheimer's disease.

14. I really wouldn't worry about side effects if you follow dosing instructions
If you take more than you are supposed to on a regular basis, you may experience gastrointestinal side effects. The worst ones would be ulcer formation and bleeding from a rupture.

They really help me.

Have you got a problem with them or are you just looking for a problem?

13. Are you saying that you've been prescribed
and are worried about side effects? I take Celebrex when I can afford it or insurance covers.
Never had any problems at all. I welcome it. I never take Tylenol. Just aspirin or ibuprofin.
Take as prescribed.

19. Liver Failure
Acetaminophen causes three times as many cases of liver failure as all other drugs combined,<7> and is the most common cause of acute liver failure in the United States,<6> <8> accounting for 39% of cases. While it occurs through overdosing<5>, even recommended doses especially combined with even small amounts of alcohol, have caused irreversible liver failure. <9><10> The other over-the-counter painkillers, ibuprofen and aspirin, do not cause such problems.,

20. I think the Angiotensin 2 Receptor Antagonists are perhaps a safer alternative.
At least fewer and less severe side effects. At least that has been my experience in EMS and personally as I suffer from hypertension.

21. I assume you want to know about NSAIDS? Side Effects?
For a back and a foot problems I have had for several years, I had been taking
Ibuprofen. Not that this matters but the large bottle of 750 tablets is available at Walmart(Equate Brand) for about half the price of what is offered in the CVS type stores.

For the past few years, I have had a rash on my back (Itchy as heck)that I was told could be possibly to be from taking Ibuprofen. Upon research about Ibuprofen, I learned that there is a medical condition called Ibuprofen Rash. It is not uncommon. If you Google Ibuprofen Rash, there is plenty of info to check.

Needless to say, I stopped taking it and the rash is better, it is not gone. I have some additional allergic reactions so my Doctor has recommended buying hypoallergenic everything from now on. We're trying everything. I have only Medicare so I cannot afford to have all the series of testing done to find any new culprits. I had the long series of tests years ago and do know about some of my allergies but I understand they change as you get older.

I do suggest you read about NSAIDS if your concern was side effects. I was on the stuff for about 4 years. I now take no anti-inflammatory drugs and am trying to get through the pain without any more pills. The itch was harder to tolerate than the foot and back pain.
