2. What's with the "- x" you have to append to every single subject line?

And is the Vitamin D supplement industry paying you?

5. I believe it may attempt to indicate a cross-post.

While it is amusing to see the single-mindedness of the Vitamin D posting, I will say it is interesting that there does appear to be a lot of legitimate scientific research into Vit. D going on nowadays, or at least it appears so here through the efforts of the OP.

My question is: Is it truly a single vitamin deficiency that is the root of all the problems that we are being urged to consider here, or is it simply an indicator of a an industrial diet that can result in an overall vitamin/mineral deficiency? And is the real best way to address low levels of nutrients to use supplementation, given the unregulated nature of "Big Supplement"?

6. Another possibility
Many disease processes may suppress Vitamin D production/levels which would explain why low Vitamin D levels appear to be involved in so many diseases.

8. 38 test subjects? Jesus.
Hope they weren't all wearing a shirt that day, or one could link wearing a shirt to "successful weight loss with dieting"

Junk assumption.
