Anyone familiar with Dr. Bronner's products?
I use the soaps and like them. The company seems very progressive. Anyone with input?

1. That stuff's been around a long time.

I remember the liquid soap from my hippie days.

2. Hell, even TARGET was selling Dr. Bronner's soap for a while
I really enjoyed the older soap wrappers, which were literally covered with Bronner's pro-Essene sermons, rants, or whatever you want to call them. "Ten million strong and we're All-One! All-One! Exceptions eternally? Absolute none! All-One! All-One!"

3. The labels are better than "Jokes for the John"
Dr. Bronner died a while ago, but he was a religious nut who just happened to make the best soap on the planet. People I know who met him at trade shows said he seemed like an OK guy, just weird.

My skin breaks out from all sorts of soaps. I'm using some unscented, all natural stuff for dishes and starting to get contact dermatitis from that, too. Dr. Bronner's is my go to soap when things start to break me out. I use it for everything including laundry while I'm trying to find another detergent that won't do terrible things to me.

Besides, washing your face with the peppermint soap is a tingly rush.

4. I've been using the soaps for 40 years.
Love the peppermint and totally love the almond.
Tea tree not so much.
The eucalyptus is wonderful if you are congested.
I've gotten my grandson to love it too.
A little goes a long way and has so many uses...
When we go camping, I take it along (almond) because it can be used to wash dishes,
laundry and shower.
It even works as a shampoo... makes you hair shiny!

5. Great stuff
Used to take it camping, on river trips. It's toothpaste, soap, dish soap. Do Not use it as soap in a cold river on skin, yours or your dog's.

Does it still come with all the rants on the label? Used to get a good laugh from that.

Enjoy!

8. It still does. Wonderful weird tants on the label.
I use a few drops of liquid peppermint soap in a spray bottle with water to kill insects off garden plants.

We try to use as many green products as possible around the place now.

6. I dilute it 4/1 and put it in a foaming-soap dispenser.
It lasts forever and I love the way the lavender variety smells.

Very economical and it's made with hemp oil. :)

9. Why do you dilute it? Is it that concentrated? nm

12. It is concentrated, but even if it wasn't you have to dilute it
in order for it to work in those foaming soap dispensers. That's all that foaming soap (like Dial and such) is - diluted liquid soap. It has to be thinner for the foamer thingie to work properly.

17. To make soap that will foam in a foaming dispenser, you have to dilute it
four or five parts water to one part liquid soap.

It makes liquid soap much cheaper.

11. Dilute! Dilute! Dilute! OK!...
I love that stuff. In the old days the package made me feel like I was buying soap made by the crazy guy on the corner! But seriously, you do have to dilute it - especially the peppermint.

13. I saw the documentary as well. I use it occasionally, and it lathers really well when

you use it with one of those scrubby mesh "sponges" (or whatever you call) them in the shower. The labels are a trip to read.

15. Yes
I use the soap, and love their website. Unless it's recently changed, there are video clips of the remaining son telling stories about his father, and also some links to news articles about the company. Apparently, the founder had some "issues", but the company does seam to be VERY progressive. The more you learn about it through their website, the more you'll want to use their products.
