Wakefield falsified data
A now-retracted British study that linked autism to childhood vaccines was an "elaborate fraud" that has done long-lasting damage to public health, a leading medical publication reported Wednesday.

An investigation published by the British medical journal BMJ concludes the study's author, Dr. Andrew Wakefield, misrepresented or altered the medical histories of all 12 of the patients whose cases formed the basis of the 1998 study -- and that there was "no doubt" Wakefield was responsible.

5. Someone needs to pay me $675k first.
I'm sure with that kind of money, I could do it...or at least hire someone to do it for me.

6. I'm pretty sure that CNN is part of the conspiracy to hide the truth.
I'm sure they're run by the vaccine manufacturers. Or something.

For reals, though, it's nice that BMJ smacked him down so hard, but one wonders what in the hell took them so long.

11. Shocking
The original study would have been awful even if not faked (small sample; no control group). But it's now clear that Wakefield is a crook.

A fine look at what happens when vaccination rates fall, despite the bizarre rants of the anti-vaxxers who both want vaccination rates to fall and, apparently, don't want vaccination rates to fall. They can't seem to make up their mind what their ranting about.
