Message to Congress

I sent this to my three members of congress today.

I hold you and all the members in congress directly responsible for the protests and trampling of civil rights which has occurred at the political conventions of Democrats and Republicans. Of course, the Republican convention has had the most egregious examples of police state tactics, but the desperation protesters brought to both Denver and St. Paul can be laid directly at the feet of a congress which has refused to hold the criminal administration accountable for its unnecessary war and the destruction of our constitutional government. The brutal tactics of the police in both cities are a direct result of the passage of laws which gut the 1st and 4th amendments. Congress has failed the people who elected them.

Good letter, make sure you fax it, they tend to lump and filter email. Phone calls are good, too. I think this bailout is being smashed down by our collective protest--this may be the proverbial straw that stops this nonsense.
