The most hysterical thing happened about
10 minutes ago and I still can't stop laughing. I haven't laughed like this in forever!

When I brought groceries home, I gave the kittens one of the paper sacks to play with since the bottom had a rip in it and would be useless for a garbage bag. They were both playing with it earlier and making tons of noise. I heard it start up again a little bit ago and I had just told Bill that I was going to have to take that up before we go to bed tonight since they have been up running like crazy around the house the past two nights.

I looked up right after saying that to see the bag running at top speed around the room, into the bathroom and back out and around the room again. It was absolutely hysterical! Finally, Lucy broke free of it and ran in the bathroom and wouldn't come out. I went in there and she'd still had one of the paper bag handles around her waist. I picked her up and cut it off and she's fine, if somewhat subdued.

But every time I think about that paper bag just flying around all over the place, I crack up all over again.

of aggravation thrown in until they mature and settle down a tad. But the good outweighs the bad.

5. I was thinking the same thing when it happened
but she was going so fast and it was all over before I could compose myself enough to even think about it. LOL

I don't have any current pics but this is what they looked like late last summer:

Lucy, the bag lady, has stayed very small but is long and lanky, which was how she got her bod through that paper handle. She's momma's baby.

Lina (pro. leena and named after a little Italian lady my dad used to do some household repairs and painting for in his spare time)is still slender from her neck down to about the start of her rib cage and has gotten really wide from that point down. She was sitting with her back to me the other night and I couldn't believe how big her bottom is. She has what's fondly referred to in my family as the Esposito butt (my gran's family name.)

3. LoL
My Akita's favorite toy is uses dog food bags.

Ok.. I'm mean but he LOVES it. I make all the noise possibe from that bag and get him all skitzo.. then.. when he goes for the bag I put it over his head!

I learned to be careful because he'll do full blast into walls... screw squeeky toys. He loves old bags.

7. It's funny how the most
odd little things around the house are suddenly toys. Saves money on buying those squeekies, tho. :hi:

4. Maybe they'd like one of those kid toys

I can't find a picture because I don't know what the hell you call it, but it was this random rolling ball with a tail attached inside a bag, with the tail sticking out. It was popular a few years ago. You turn it on, and it looks like a small animal is stuck in a bag moving around.

The cats would probably destroy it in seconds, but it could make for a good video while it lasted.

8. I know the one you're talking about.
I think they'd be afraid of it. I mean they were both pretty terrorized by last night's antics.

10. That was funny. LOL
He looks like my older cat, Snotty. The funniest part was watching him just calmly walk from room to room like nothing was amiss.

Lucy was stuck in big grocery sack and was running like lightning trying desperately to get away from it and just couldn't shake if off. I had no idea she was stuck in the handle until the rest of the bag tore away on one of her streaks through here. I'm still giggling.

11. That's funny, but where's the C&B buy in?
Oh wait -I've got it-- the paper sack was a grocery bag.:D

Cats do love paper bags. Mine will sit contently inside of one on the floor in between manic bouts of whacking it around.

12. Well, there really is no buy in.
Tab kind of opened the door sharing about his dogs, and I've been sharing about Fiona and the chickens along the way. Like he said, more like family here than anywhere else on DU.

How's Gormy today? :hi:

13. That's hilarious!
Thanks for the vicarious kitty laughs! I miss our own critters and the funny stuff they would pull - they too loved paper bags. And would hide when they got embarrassed! They had little kitty egos that would sometimes get bruised and then they'd sulk for a bit. And to tie into c&b a little, one of them loved olives, mushrooms and chocolate. The mushrooms were the funniest, cuz he'd get one off the counter then walk around with it stuffed in his mouth. often we'd find half eaten mushrooms under the table or in a corner.
