1. Very exciting and My money's on this guy
Graham Elliot Bowles

There are some heavy hitters in this contest---and with Gael Greene as one of the judges how could you not love it. Rick Bayless and John Besh both annoy me to no end. I don't know why but they do. I'm looking forward to seeing what kinds of things Dufresne will concoct with the scientific stuff. Keller seems rather old school to me but he does turn out a gorgeous plate.

2. I don't have cable so
I don't see these programs and probably wouldn't watch if I did. But every so often, I catch Bayless on PBS. He annoys me no end, too. I think he's just so overly melodramatic. He's a real ham. LOL

4. Well, since I no longer cook or eat "normal" food...
I've become even more obsessed with food minutia. The food celerity is just another genre of the obsession. I swear I can taste their food without ever setting foot in their restaurants. It's cheaper that way...and easier on the waistline. And even if he annoys ne I'd take Bayless over Bobby Flay any day. Talk about annoying tv chef's he's the King IMO.

5. I am glad I am not the only one who finds Bobby Flay unwatchable
The only time I was able to enjoy it was when his wife cooked (and his mother in law watched and drank) one time (he is married to Law and Order actor Stephanie March)

that said, it will be fun to see the tables turned, and some of these people who have been on the judging end of the table be on the competitive end.

I hope they give them the same impossible tasks as they do the novice chefs. Like making a 7 course meal out of nothing but a can of spam and a jar of mustard in 5 minutes.

And I am frankly stunned to see Keller on there. It is like flying Ferran Adrià in from Spain.

6. LMAO@ Bobby Flay
I have hated him forever, but he clinched it when he jumped on his cutting board during the first Iron Chef battle against Morimoto. What a dickwad. Still pisses me off that they gave him a second battle and I'm convinced the result was rigged. No way they're comparable chefs.

I think I'm glad I don't recognize many of this cast. John Besh irks me for sure, so I'd love to see him out early, but at least we don't have to see that idjut they ended up adding to the US Iron Chef cast. For some reason, when a man giggles like that, it just makes me want to bitchslap him. :P

3. I'm setting the DVR
I've only seen a few advertisements - I think it looks like a good twist.
