Question - any experience with Young Leaders Conference?
My 11 year old niece has been nominated by a teacher to participate in the Junior National Young Leaders Conference next September.
It's a week long program in Washington DC. The kids stay in hotels with chaperones (no parents allowed).
The program is expensive, about $2000.
Does anyone have any experience with this program? If so, is it worth the money? Did the kids enjoy it? Did they learn anything valuable? Were they properly chaperoned?
1. my 11 yr old recommended for texas leadership camp. i dropped him off yesterday
first time in a camp. it is good in so many ways so far, will let you know when i pick him up. all the people really impressed me though. i think it is going ot be great for him. i would recommend letting son do it. it is a special....
this is the first yr of the program (the youngest age to participate) and they are already talking about next year. i would love for son to have a chance to do this in dc. next year they go to austin (the capital) and the next year houston. may not be the riding horses and swimming camps, but this fits son's personality.
