Android Phone Apps
Just got a new phone upgrade from my Samsung Saga with Winmobile OS to a LG Vortex with Android Froyo 2.2. This was a store return and cost me nothing after rebate. So far, I'm incredibly impressed with this new phone technology. The OS is much better than Winmobile.

The number of free applications in the Marketplace is staggering...I am wondering what recommendations my fellow DUers might have for 'must have' apps. I've found 2 that I really see a lot of value to have - Dropbox and Teamviewer. I can now move files from my PC to my laptop and phone, using Dropbox. Teamviewer allows me to access my computers remotely to grab a file to e-mail or work on.

1. Opera Mini is a good browser (works better than the native browser)
Also, JuiceDefender helps with battery life. At least it does on my EVO 4G.

3. It's a great software tool to remote control your primary PC or even to help
fix someone else's PC remotely. It's not really that practical on a small smartphone, but I've been able to get info from my PC into Dropbox and use that info in e-mails that I've done on the road. So it is a pretty handy utility to put on your smartphone.

I also like Camscanner - it lets you take a pic of a document and safe it as a .pdf. Works like a flatbed scanner. My results are OK, but a higher resolution camera in the phone would make this even better.
