I recently switched from an Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro to a CoolIT TEC liquid CPU cooler and have some #'s if your interested.
I'm running an AMD 6000+ X2 at stock speeds and to monitor temps I am using CPUID Hardware Monitor. CPUID HM and BIOS readings at idle are within +/- 1c so I'm fairly confident my readings are accurate.
For my load temps I monitored my Boinc client as it ran CPDN and Seti @ Home. Ambient room temps ~72F (22.2C) give or take 2 degrees.
Max CPU temp per AMD is 63C I have my PC set to shut down at 60C.
CPU core order=
Core 0 Core 1Freezer 64 Pro: Arctic Silver 5 Thermal compound
idle- 42C 32C
70%CPU load- 54C 49C
CoolIT Eliminator TEC: Medium fan speed- (low noise) Factory slathered Thermal compound
idle- 33C 23C
70%CPU load- 49C 46C
80%CPU load- 52C 51C
High fan (moderate noise)
70%CPU load- 42C 36C
80%CPU load- 44C 38C
90%CPU load- 46C 40C
idle- 27C 14C (right now)
Well, I think the CoolIT Eliminator will allow me to further increase my BOINC CPU % usage, overclock a little and, for me, is a perfect thermal solution. A damn good choice for CPU cooling but @ $190.00 New Egg price it may be a tad much for many wallets.
The Eliminator is a closed loop, factory sealed pre-filled system.
