Midori Web Browser 0.2.6
Want something fast? Don't need any frills?

You might consider Midori.

http://www.twotoasts.de/index.php?/pages/midori_summary.html

Midori is a WebKit based web browser licensed under the LGPL. For those with lower end hardware or who genuinely just want something not quite as bloated as the major browsers are, Midori will have a place. It's one of the few browsers on the market that actually can pass the Acid3 test.

Meanwhile, Firefox scores 94/100.

Again, this is a no-frills browser. It has a few extensions that block ads, provide mouse gesture functions, etc., and it does all the main stuff you do with a browser like watch YouTube and other streaming video. It also works swimmingly with Google Docs -- better, I think, than Firefox -- but Google Docs does a browser compatibility check when you try to login that doesn't pass, initially not allowing you in. Thankfully, Google provides a workaround. You simply have to access Docs with a modified URL:

http://docs.google.com/?browserok=true#

Anyway, with so many options out there, many may feel they don't need another one, but I thought I'd pass this along anyway. I won't be using it regularly, but I'll probably use it more than I will Chrome, the latter of which I don't really like under Linux.

2. 93/100 with SeaMonkey
But I don't use default settings.

Even better, Internet ExploDer 64 bit is 13/100 and 32 bit is 4/100 in windows XP X64.

3. That's a really nice browser
For a while I've thought that the Mozilla family of programs are becoming just too tricky for their own good - well, for my good. Only problem is the difficulty importing bookmarks from Firefox. Do you know a workaround?

4. Unfortunately, no ...

Kinda ironic. I've never actually imported bookmarks from one browser to another, and the one time I might want to, I don't have the ability.

5. Seems nice and fast. Ubuntu users can probably install it from the repository:
that's how I installed it in latest Mint

Some webpages are problematic: www.google.com (for example)
can't be accessed unless you do something like

Edit >> Preferences >> Network

and then instruct to identify as Safari (say)

Behavior here is somewhat irregular and unpredictable and may
be affected by some cache I can't clear. I couldn't get into
Googleland, then I could get into some of Googleland but not
all of it, then I could get into any of it

7. I mean the complex of sites Google, Google images, Google videos,
Google maps, Google news, &c&c

I expected them all to behave the same way with respect to Midori, but they didn't
