[Grateful for Hope]

Just wanted to share pictures of my babies as I feel so very blessed to have them.

Here is Jake. He is very mischievous and rebellious. He is also a sweetheart who loves being held and stroked.



Here is Spidey. He is very attached to me and follows me around the apartment. He doesn't like to be held, but would rather cuddle up next to me. He, too, is a sweetheart who took Jake into his life very easily (and with much joy for having a wrestling buddy!).

12. Spidey reminds me of Pumpkin...

Not in terms of appearance (the latter's an orange tabby shorthair), but in terms of personality. Pumpkin will gladly curl up next to anyone and grab all the attention he can, but, if you pick him up, he'll struggle to get down and then walk away with a disgusted expression. Cats...

13. Beautiful!! Congratulations on being selected by two such

highly superior cats. Jake looks like he is wearing a Zorro mask and Spidey's face markings are quite unusual. I just want to bite Spidey's little white feet with fur between his toes.

Tiny and Oscar, my two black/white males, are happy to know that their numbers are increasing on DU!

I've been a dog person my entire life. When it was time to get a new dog, we found a home breeder, met the mother and father and made sure we liked them, and then put in for a puppy. Or people go to the pound, and select one.

When we decided to get a cat, a friend said "don't worry, one will find you." A few weeks later, someone appeared at our door with the Little, she ran under our bed, and that was that.

What's up with that?

21. I read once that cats are the only animal that domesticated themselves

voluntarily. They hung around near the nomads' camps because they had food, and became their companions. I guess that is still an instinct so they hang around until they find the right person to claim :loveya:

23. I went out and bought a new camera

so I could take better pics of my boys. Sick, huh?

Anyway, I have bought them many toys, scratching and climbing furniture, but, wouldn't you know it? They are getting much more fun today out of a bottle cap.

24. What cuties! Thanks for the pics - and, around my house...

with my two dogs: I just bought a bunch of new toys - stuffed toys, rope and rubber chew toys, and what do they play with? Cardboard boxes they swipe from the recycling bin. ;)

Do you have pics of your dogs? They sound like one of my grandbabies who is 11 months...I asked my daughter if he liked his presents, and she said that he liked the boxes better!
