Hello Pets Group!

I have been reading the posts in this group and really enjoying them. I thought I would post a picture of our dog, Buddy with my kids Daniel and Leah. We got Buddy about 6 months ago from our local shelter. He is amazing with the kids and has the sweetest temperament. We were very lucky that Buddy "found us."

He looks like a shepherd-lab mix. It's great that he's good with children. Especially since he's a big dog. Thanks for sharing your picture!

Is your name from an r.e.m. song? My husband used to play in the same clubs with those guys back in the day here in Athens.

your husband played the same clubs as REM. Would I know his band?

Buddy is a great dog. We had to put our 11 year old Border Collie, Cody, to sleep in June. It had been two weeks and I told my wife, we have got to get another dog...the house is too quiet. We happened to meet Buddy at a pet adoption fair for our local Humane Society, and he was great with our kids. We did a "meet and greet" which went well and we took him home a week later.

They told us he was two years old -- I think he is just two years old, now. He has a lot of puppy in him!

Mr. CB's bands included One Eye Open, Bang, Subject to Change, Playground and currently Barking Charlie. Back in the late 70s -late 80s he and all of his friends played in many bands in Athens. He even opened for r.e.m. on occasion! He knows all of the guys. (Bill Berry lives not to far from my office and Mike Mills and Michael Stipe live in the Grady Avenue/Boulevard area.) Throughout the years, Mr. CB has continued to play and jam with all of his friends and fellow musicians.
He performed his album, Chasing Caribou, at the Morotn Theater and Nuci's Space.

This past summer we attended a reunion of Athens people around from the mid 70s to mis 80s. It was called Athens Rewind! Pylon, Oh OK, (Lynda Stipe and Linda Hopper), and Time Toy played our private parties at the 40 Watt club Fri. and Sat. nights)! We had a blast! We danced until all hours! Mike Mills attended along with Athenians from as far as California! Filmmakers brought old super 8 films of Athens bands including cool B52s footage from NYC. The films played in the screening room at the 40 Watt. There was an art show of photographs and artwork at the Little Kings Club!

He is a wonderful family dog, though...very gentle and loveable!
