Turkish Angora Brother & Sister Up for Adoption
I was at this shelter on March 1 and chose two adult cats. These two young beauties have been in there for quite some time (considering their age) and it seems there was someone on here who was a fan of this breed. I'm posting a link to their photos on Petfinders. If you are looking for a cat in the NYC/Westchester Co. area, check out this website. Thank you! These are very sweet kitties! http://www.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=9690301

1. I believe Lorien is the Angora fan
she currently has two, plus a Maine Coon.

5. Thanks very much!
One of the kitties we brought home came from a kill shelter in Brooklyn. He's a love. I'm sure someone is missing him.

6. Me, too!
I actually went over there to get them for myself, but we ended up taking two older cats who had been in there for too long. These beauties have a future and a much better chance of adoption since they are younger than the two we took. They are both playful and sweet and healthy.

8. Awww! I wish I had room for more!
I think those two are half Turk, not full Turk- but even better for a first time Turk owner! I was combing America looking for a half Turkish Angora back when my beloved Peewee died. I only found one-in Wisconsin-and he was adopted before I could get to him.

I sure wish that my original plans had worked out. Back when I had a great salary I wanted to build a home in Asheville with a large studio next door. I wanted to adopt two kitties for the studio, and I was hoping to find two older kitties. These two would have been perfect! But alas, my salary has nosedived. Puck is still pissed about Pippin and would lose her mind if I brought in any more right now. A friend had an adult oriental who was dumped by her store a few months ago, and I fell in love with him. I brought him home and put him in the "kitten room" (a huge bathroom in the back of my house with French doors leading into it), and Puck nearly bloodied herself trying to get to him! Fortunately, another friend of mine adopted him and he's very happy in his new home.

I sure hope that these two find a loving home together. Whoever adopts them will surely have two of the most devoted and entertaining kitties imaginable!

9. What a lovely pair
It wasn't until I got Charley that I really appreciated how cats interact when they really get along. Pad Thai and Charley play all the time and Charley sometimes tenderly licks Paddy on the head. It's a great thing for Paddy who needs constant attention but who's Mommy works long hours and commutes.
