My next fosters
I turned down fostering 3 6 month old pups, thought 3 at that age would be a bit much. So they asked me to take these instead, along with Mom. They were born 9/18.

3. I don't have them yet
The rescue wants to make sure they have a place to go before they move them. They should be here next week when they are a little older. They will be about 3 weeks when they get here. They are being fostered out of a shelter now, even the shelter doesn't want puppies that age in the shelter, too many germs. So I know about it, since they asked me to take them, but it is way ahead of time.

9. I will when I get them
They aren't coming in until next week. They don't want to move them until they are 3 weeks, they can be weaned then. I'm starting to get nervous about this. On the other hand, I am excit4ed about it. Got the blender ready to make a gruel of puppy food for them.

10. Is there a reason they are being taken from Mom so early?

11. Mom will be coming too
They won't be removed from Mom until 8 weeks. The comment about weaning them was just in case there was some upset by moving them to my house. They are in foster now at the shelter. So I'll have the whole family for a while. But that is why they won't move them until they are 3 weeks, because you can give them blended gruel at that point, but supplemented with mother's milk is best. Once those sharp teeth start coming in, Mom is not going to want to nurse them much. She will, but it will hurt.

14. Puppies will be here tomorrow
They will be 20 days old. I will post new pics in a new thread. Can't wait to meet them, weaning them should be messy. Mom will be coming too and she gets along with other dogs well. My poor boy Gus will be more than happy to leave them alone. I am giving the family their own bedroom/nursery.
