In the grand tradition of Madfloridian inspired graciousness
May the best person win the DNC Chair.

I myself haven't researched any of the candidates to my satisfaction. Until I do, I reserve judgement on who would be the best.

But anyway, I pray that if Dean is what we need right now, that he does indeed win. I pray that the best man for America wins. Because that's what it's about ultimately. Returning the country to the values that make us great.

1. Not to mention
having him out of the way for '08 is a comforting notion.

Just sayin'.

2. You insinuatin' somethin' hun
Personally, I'm not geared up for 08 yet. And anyone who says they're not running now can still change their minds, even Jeb.

There's plenty to gear up for in 05 and 06, esp. locally. I have a mayor's race to see to and a Dem governor to save. I'll deal with 08 in 06, when the field is clearer.

In the immortal words of the Madfloridian, "I was trying to be nice."

6. Are you normally this warm and friendly?
Let me guess. You're not with the public relations arm of the Dean revolution are you. Just a hunch.

Mostly I popped in here because I was inspired by Madfloridian's thread. I promise not to call her gracious again. I know she has a rep to uphold.

This is the first time I've been watching and/or giving a shit during one of these changes of the guard. Mostly I'm in observation mode. I'm certainly not the rascally rabbit you seem to think I am.

I do indeed hope that whoever gets the chairmanship can get our country out of the shithole. I will support whoever that turns out to be. I am on Democratic Party Back Watch, as I've said, and last time I checked, that included Dean.

7. You do know I was kidding with you, don't you? What you said was nice.
I appreciated what you said, and it was nice.

8. Some of us just don't know how to appreciate all the love
Dean's been getting lately!

I am happy to see how broad Dean's support for DNC Chair is. In 2004 thousands and thousands of grassroots activists changed the face of our campaign and showed how the party could be reformed and reborn. Of all the candidates for chair Dean I think is the only one who "gets it" about the changes that need to be made in the party's relationship with its activist base.

12. Yes, he gets it
and I think he's the only one who can provide the leadership necessary to affect those changes.

14. He gets it. He acts consistent with it. He has the skills...
... he has supporters ready to work with him for success, and he has a high public profile which will keep the quest front and center as it needs to be now. And Dean is already identified in the public mind as a partisan Democrat leader (though Dean is far less knee jerk partisan than most realize) so people will actually listen to him as a leading spokesman for the Party - a DNC Chair who will actually be listened to by the public is a real advantage.

13. He absolutely "gets it"
That fact is what attracted me to Dr. Dean in the first place and why I'm a Deanic.

9. We're agreed on Dean
Sorry but I just didn't think "hey if he's right and he wins that's good" was oozing graciousness. Fair? Yes. Gracious? Not particularly.

Oh and I view MF as being gracious very often, usually moreso than is deserved. I have no doubt you too could be gracious but don't feel you were so here.

Perhaps we simply disagree on the meaning of the word.

4. Me, gracious?
Just kidding. Sometimes people notice I try.

Thanks for the post, just quit with the gracious accusations...it will hurt my reputation for being mean.
