Dalai Lama to sit down with Larry King; comments on Tiger Woods (Updated)
That’s right, folks, set your DVRs. His Holiness the Dalai Lama will be on Larry King Live tonight. The LKL site says he will talk “about China, human rights and Haiti in his only interview after his controversial meeting with President Obama.”

And speaking of that meeting, as we reported on Facebook yesterday, the Dalai Lama yesterday described Obama as looking “like a monk… had a peaceful, calm expression on his face.” …A nice thing to hear about one’s president.

And, thanks to His Holiness, Barack Obama, and Tiger Woods, searches for “buddhist” were among the top 10 on Google Trends on Saturday, The Globe and Mail reports.

And the Dalai Lama has now commented on Woods’s situation.

1. Thanks for the heads up IHAD!
I just finished setting up for the interview tonight. I'm sure this will be in highly watched episode of LK.

I have my astrology class tonight, so I hope to remember to set it up to record before leaving. If not, maybe it will be available on-line.

11. Well, a lot of my classmates are naturals at astrology.
I'm not, but I still have fun -- at least until he makes me read a chart in front of the class.   :hide:

3. fantastic
wish I could stay up to see it, but too much to do; too little time.

I was finding it kind of strange the the Dalai Lama would be commenting about Tiger Woods, but then that will attract a lot more interest for many people than him talking about Tibet and China. Whatever it takes to get the message out, I guess. :D

4. I suspect that it's because Tiger is a Buddhist.
That's the only thing that I can think of that would make him allow himself to be pulled into that debacle. :)

6. Fox Noise Christian Soldiers
The Christian Soldiers of Fox Noise were way too eager to say that Tiger would have an easier time getting through his troubles if he were Christian, or something to that effect. Of course this ignores all the obvious instances of "Christians" having EXACTLY the same problems and difficulties getting through them. But Brett Hume had to use it as a means of pushing his Fox Noise War-Christian ideas down people's throats since Woods DARES to inhabit this country and not be Christian like he's "supposed to be".

I would imagine His Holiness probably wants to set the record straight in far less assuming and nasty manner than the Fox Christian Warriors began the discussion.
