When Uranus was discovered on March 13, 1781, it was in Gemini. As Gemini is about what we choose to put together (or not), this seems apt for Uranus, a planet which symbolizes the radicalization of us, of life, of all which promotes separation and separatism in the service of knowing what the “one” is so that those unique qualities of each person and thing can be used to best effect.

Unfortunately….that’s not how it always works out. And why doesn’t it work out that way? Well, part of that can be seen in where Uranus was when discovered—namely at 24 Gemini. Plainly part of the sign’s third grouping of ten degrees (each ten being known as a “decanate”), 24 Gemini, like all third decanate degrees of whatever sign includes a message that whatever our idea, product, invention…whatever it is, it has to be put into practice to see if/how it’s going to work. Or if it will work at all.
