ThomWV gets a miracle.
Despite a grim prognosis, he came through his surgery with flying colors and gets to keep the organs the surgeons thought would have been destroyed by his cancer.

He might actually admit it himself, even though he is a self-described a-hole, and not easy to get along with.

I have never seen this in him, but he says so.
