Rosicrucian Vowel Sounds

I did not forget to provide links to the vowel sounds that we use in our home Sanctum and in our Affiliated Bodies. These vowel sounds are very important in awakening our Psychic Centers. Psychic centers are different from Chakras although some of them relate to the Chakras. Psychic Centers are centers that are related to our glands. Our glands play an important role in our psychic awakening.

Past Imperator of The Rosicrucian Order AMORC Dr. H. Spencer Lewis said of these Vowel Sounds:

“The real origin of singing and chanting can be found in the proper use of vowel sounds for mystical purposes. Every vowel sound has its proper pitch or tone in the musical scale. Each vowel sound is related to a specific color and nerve centre in the human body.”

The Mystical Workshop was extremely well received, although as I had predicted the attendance was less than steller, but nevertheless that did not prevent the importance of the focus of the workshop. Ed Lee provided us with the tools to combat our concentration skills. Concentration is a fundamental condition that has to be developed to achieve success with the work of a Mystic. One of the techniques that was and is used, is listening to music and focusing on a single instrument. This is a tremendous exercise and isn't exactly easy to do. Try it out for yourself. See if you can focus your attention upon just a single instrument. You will find that it is difficult, but with practice it can be accomplished.

As far as the exercises Frater Lee used quite a bit of opera, ( something I really never listen to ) it was quite interesting to try and isolate the music from the voices, and then the focus on an individual voice. Phew, it is quite the challenge.

It's kind of funny I took a sort of speed reading course in middle school, the teacher would walk around the room bang on things to distract us. I got to where I could block the distractions out, but now I have to learn to do this fundamental exercise again.


Tonight will be my first time back to our Pronaos after the Mystical workshop. It will be interesting to see what vibrational energy will be still hanging around. We did a lot of Vowel sounds in our Temple and I'm almost certain it will have a lasting effect on our humble abode.
