Help with a strange dream I had...
The past few nights I have been having especially vivid dreams that I can't completely understand. Usually I know what my dreams mean - and how I should use them in my life... but last night I had a dream with an image I haven't experienced before. It was pretty strange - even for my dreams, and it weirded me out (which is unusual!).

In my dream, my hands turned blue. Then, I started picking at the skin under my fingernails, which turned into an eyelid. I then had eyes on the ends of my fingers (on my fingertips). In my dream I was weirded out by this, thinking "What does this mean?" and then I woke up.

Any ideas on what this could mean? (I hope this isn't too weird... I'm still a newbie!)

Thanks in advance!

1. Welcome, H_P
I'm afraid I can't offer help in interpreting your dream, but I just wanted to say hello and welcome!

3. Psychometry - psychicly sensing through touch. Possibly innate tendancy to healing as well
Glowing/hot hands can indicate strong natural healing talent. Have you ever experienced your hands getting warmer (or more rarely cooler) when touching someone who is ill? Have you noticed feeling an easing of pain if you put your hands on a minor injury or achy area?

4. OMG!
Yes, I have. And I have been praying to the Gods to find out what my gifts are... I would like to do some kind of astrology healing work, but I had no idea! I also have been getting intuitions from touch lately too... wow.

Thanks!

7. You are very welcome :-)
There are many methods of touch healing that can be taught. The one I know and is the simplest to teach is Reiki. There are some great free teaching sites out there like Reiki On if you wish to consider that one - http://groups.yahoo.com/group/reiki_on

Check out the methods that interest you and you will surely find one that suits you :)

6. {blush}
IT just made sense to me. Hands that see means psychometry and as someone who's hands which are normally cool to like blocks of ice but turn bright red and hot when I do Reiki these images just fit.

8. Welcome to DU and the Astro Forum.
I think Shallah's interpretation is what your dream is about.

11. I like Shallah's interpretation. Would add one thing:
the blue hands to me might signify contemplation or the spiritual mind applied to this. In other words by meditation or contemplation you can develop this ability over time. I think you said the eyelid appeared first and then the eyes. It's something in other words that you can develop over time, and I think the blue is the first step, to meditate on it (to me yellow or orange would be the mental applied to the earth or the physical, while blue would be the mental applied to the spiritual, the sky).

Maybe meditating on how you will use the gift constructively would be a good first step in deciding how you will hand-le the gift.

Good luck and welcome.

12. Welcome to DU and the ASAH forum, Hellenic_Pagan!
:hi: :toast:

I also agree with Shallah's interpretation.

Also, when I read about your dream, it jogged a memory--the blue hand relating to Krishna consciousness, and of course the Hindu religion is one of the belief systems where they use the symbol of the eye in the hand as the "Hand of God". (However, that eye is in the palm.) Then again, I just KNOW I've seen images of hands with eyes in the fingertips. Darned if I can find an example to share, though. Teh Google is letting me down on this one. But I'll keep trying and post again if I find it.

14. I googled for a long
time after I read this because I believe I've seen something like that too. Eyes in the hands...fingers.. I do remember the creatures in Pan's Labyrinth who had the eyeballs in their palms. Did you see that?

16. Thanks for trying to help find some, VSM!
I do remember seeing photos from Pan's Labyrinth even though I never saw the movie--hard to forget the eyes in those hands. Still can't find any eyes on fingertips, though. Ugh!

13. Beyond the psychometry that Shallah so wisely recommended,
the flash I got was any kind of handiwork (crafts, weaving, knitting, sewing, sculpting etc) might be really therapeutic for you.

You may or may not know that weavers have often fallen into trances. It may heighten your sensitivity or maybe it's a past life flash.

Have you ever played a keyboard?

Ya never know. . .

If the eyes were on all of your fingers, anything that employs them all relatively in concert could perhaps reinforce your skills, even hacking on a keyboard. :)

Good luck with it and welcome to our friendly little forum.

17. Healing hands can combine nicely with handiwork infusing each item with good energy
I am not saying this is necssary way to use such a gift just that this a way to use it for those so inclined. I am no crafter but I do put Reiki into the food when I cook. Those dishes tend to turn out better than the ones I don't send Reiki to.

Shallah, a cook who can ruin hardboiled eggs!

15. Hello and welcome to ASAH.
:hi: You'll love it here. We're happy to have more talent!

I too agree with Shallah. What an astute rendering. I thought about the blue, and what occurred to me is chakra colors.
Was it blue like the throat or indigo of the third eye?
Either one could have implications for the interpretation.

18. Everyone else is so much better at interpretations than I am
I would have guessed you were planning to see The Blue Man Group. I'm sort of a literalist.
