Synchronicity or psycho-kinetics?
Edited on Thu Apr-16-09 04:12 AM by northernlights
Just file this under....hmmmmmm.

For the last couple months, since the ability to meditate finally returned after a 7 or 8 year absence, I've slipped into a routine of reading native american wisdom (courtesy of ayeshahahaqiqqa) followed by a "reading" of runes and my "angel oracle."

The runes are the interesting point here. I have a little book of writing on the serenity prayer that came with a set of 5 runes. Each rune refers to a key word in the prayer (god/divine, serenity, accept, courage, wisdom) and each has a short, associated reading.

I've been pulling a rune and reading it's little mini-essay almost every night without fail, and for a while there was starting each morning with it as well. So I've done this well over 50 times in the past couple months.

By now, statistically the results should be pretty evenly spread over the 5 runes. But they're not. Not even close. We're talking odds of probably less than 1 in a million to get the results I've gotten.

At least half the time I've pulled "serenity." It's almost a guarantee that I'll pull serenity. (I haven't kept track lately, but early on it was 9 out of 10 times and it's probably still closer to that than 50/50.) And maintaining some degree of serenity to get me through this semester has been my main focus of attention.

Well, last night I pulled "wisdom" for exactly the second time. In 2 months and over 50 pulls, this is only the second time I can remember getting wisdom.

And from the reading, this phrase jumped out at me, "wisdom is what turns losses into bridges."

Which is *exactly* what Why Syzygy was writing to me last night.

1. Gosh, when synchronicity starts ramping
up like that for me, the main good news is always around the corner.
:hi: It's like little hints letting me know that I'm grounded and aligned with whatever manifestation I've sent to the Universe. Keeping my fingers crossed that you will be getting some much deserved good fortune very soon. I wonder if you've noticed any coincidences when not casting runes. Forgive me, I'm not sure if casting is the right word for runes.

3. sometimes the synchronicities seem to be a sign
other times, just as something seems to be materializing...it disappears instead. So I'm trying not to focus on them, but just notice them as they arise and then move on.

Here have been the synchronicities so far:

I was looking around the country for similar MLT programs to the one I'm in, but in areas I would like (or wouldn't mind) moving to. I found one very similar in southern Oregon.

I found a little shacky old ranchhouse with a ramshackle-looking barn on 5 acres of pasture in southern Oregon that I *may* be able to buy after I sell this place. It looks ok inside from the pix, although it's hard to say how updated or maintained it is. It's about 750-800 sq feet, which is all I've ever figured I really needed for me and my critters. I think it's waterfront on a pond, for Jake's therapy swimming.

I was thinking about one of my original dreams when I came up here about a medicinal herb business of some sort. I remember that one of my better medicine-making books was by an author from Oregon. I looked it up -- he's located just a little south of where the shack is.

I've been thinking about how volunteering is supposed to help lead to a job. I did some with the gardening program up here, which led to nowhere. I wished I'd done some with the local shelter, although I figure it wouldn't have led to a job but it would have made me happy. And then the other day I saw a teevee commercial for a service dog organization -- a commercial I have *never* seen before, ever. I had looked into a local service dog org after I first moved up here, but it turned out to be a 1-person operation and I think closed down. Anyway, I looked up this organization online, but it didn't have any good locations for me. Then I googled service dogs and Oregon and two came up, one with a website. It's a big one and they don't breed their service dogs -- they rescue them!!!!! They take the "best" of the rescue dogs and teach them to be service dogs and rehome them with people in need. The other rescues are rehomed. Then I looked up the location of their headquarters -- it's very close to the shack.

So those are the synchronicities that are calling to me, although the MLT school in southern Oregon is actually tied to Portland Community College in northern Oregon. So the clinicals would have to be in northern Oregon, so makes it hard to work out. And I still have no idea how I can "make" a living there.

4. Wow, promising signs!
And good reminder about not focusing on outcome, but a lot to investigate just for the fun of it :)
Sometimes to aid synchrony, I think about and then pose to the Universe the right/best question about moving in a particular direction, though I have to prepare myself for the answers that unfold. Otherwise it can lead to confusion and resistance and then I'm stuck again. But there's nothing better than asking when most serene and not fearful of outcome.

It really is inspiring to me, Northernlights, how you continue to pursue your dreams with good sense, flexibility, and what you have at your disposal. Thank you for sharing the journey.

2. Wow
I'm so glad this ritual is working for you, and humbly honored that I helped in some small way. Very interesting that your pulls would be towards serenity--isn't that what we need in times of change? And then that wonderful phrase "wisdom is what turns losses into bridges". A lot there to think about. Thanks so much for posting!

5. woo hoo!
:D I'm glad you got that confirmation. The feeling that we've 'screwed up' (again) is LOUSY.
You don't need it. We don't! We just take the winding road.
Losses into bridges. Great imagery.

6. Look what arrived in my inbox today.
The few who look forward, while always knocking on new doors, no matter how futile it may seem or how insignificant their progress, will carry the many who just keep waiting for things to get better.
