other times, just as something seems to be materializing...it disappears instead. So I'm trying not to focus on them, but just notice them as they arise and then move on.
Here have been the synchronicities so far:
I was looking around the country for similar MLT programs to the one I'm in, but in areas I would like (or wouldn't mind) moving to. I found one very similar in southern Oregon.
I found a little shacky old ranchhouse with a ramshackle-looking barn on 5 acres of pasture in southern Oregon that I *may* be able to buy after I sell this place. It looks ok inside from the pix, although it's hard to say how updated or maintained it is. It's about 750-800 sq feet, which is all I've ever figured I really needed for me and my critters. I think it's waterfront on a pond, for Jake's therapy swimming.
I was thinking about one of my original dreams when I came up here about a medicinal herb business of some sort. I remember that one of my better medicine-making books was by an author from Oregon. I looked it up -- he's located just a little south of where the shack is.
I've been thinking about how volunteering is supposed to help lead to a job. I did some with the gardening program up here, which led to nowhere. I wished I'd done some with the local shelter, although I figure it wouldn't have led to a job but it would have made me happy. And then the other day I saw a teevee commercial for a service dog organization -- a commercial I have *never* seen before, ever. I had looked into a local service dog org after I first moved up here, but it turned out to be a 1-person operation and I think closed down. Anyway, I looked up this organization online, but it didn't have any good locations for me. Then I googled service dogs and Oregon and two came up, one with a website. It's a big one and they don't breed their service dogs -- they rescue them!!!!! They take the "best" of the rescue dogs and teach them to be service dogs and rehome them with people in need. The other rescues are rehomed. Then I looked up the location of their headquarters -- it's very close to the shack.
So those are the synchronicities that are calling to me, although the MLT school in southern Oregon is actually tied to Portland Community College in northern Oregon. So the clinicals would have to be in northern Oregon, so makes it hard to work out. And I still have no idea how I can "make" a living there.
