"Best of all, I don't need a prescription. It's homeopathic!"
From a commercial I'm currently hearing - about every 10 nanoseconds - on a local radio station here in Los Angeles.

For this crap - Quietus:

Discovered by a rock drummer searching for tinnitus relief, Quietus dual homeopathic medications help provide relief from the ringing, buzzing, humming and roaring in the ears.

Well, sure. When I need medical advice, the first people I Google are Travis Barker and Lars Ulrich.

I think it's time for us skeptics to dump our consciences and ethics. I'm ready to buy some air time and convince the suckers that any "ringing, buzzing, humming and roaring in the ears" is really alien voices trying to communicate with them from the planet Xurf!!>ila. And my Triple-Dog-Dare Homeopathic Medication can translate the voices. Credit cards and PayPal accepted.

As one who basically hears a 12kHz shriek in both ears 24/7, I'd welcome some relief. But not at that expense!

2. I wonder if the manufacturers would be willing to pay for commercials
that weren't aired at all.

First, the commercial is aired in some pre-broadcast test. Then the duration of the commercial is reduced until it's undetectable. The message remains because it affects the nature of the vibrations - TV signal - of the rest of the program.

In fact, I can do better than that. I could charge them to not broadcast their commercials on the non-signal of the TV station I don't own.

I feel a blog post coming on.

5. 'dual homeopathic' - so the water molecules are remembering 2 different shapes at once?
I think they've missed a marketing trick here - that should be 'dual quantum superposition homeopathic medications'.
