Massively Multiplayer Online PAINT

www.drawball.com

It's best if you're on broadband. You have to solve a little puzzle before you're allowed to draw; this consists of connecting dots on a shape such that each connection between dots is used only once.

(It's a Macromedia Flash page of a huuuuuge area for graffiti of any sort.)

2. I did my part and scrawled in "Bush Sucks."
Look for it in the middle of the yellow area towards the right side. Let's make it our section. =)

3. I put a red arrow to that
and the word "truth" in red

I tried to make a black shadow but got disconnected... I hope it saved it

Was it you the made the red white and blue circles?

The red/white/blue circles were also my touch. This is fun! :D

EDIT: Though it looks like some Virginia Tech fan is overlapping over your text now...

Either there's some Bush fans in that area or someone is really insistent on keeping that area "yellow." They scribbled over my little area. :(

5. The Hall of Fame feature is very nice!

It a fast-forward of the creation process of some of the finer art displayed on the drawball. At times it can provide a chuckle... I was watching the Jessica Alba animation and someone had butt in and drew sunglasses and another time someone wrote the word "LOSER" on her forehead.

8. Need a combined "mission"
It's like writing in sand at the beach. The center is where the waves are washing the shore. Everyone wants that space, so making an impact there takes either instantly obvious skill that people are loath to draw over, or lots of people working together. ie: the central flag, which is Korean, I think? It got re-established during the Pacifics daylight hours, so I assume there is a concerted effort somewhere "over there."

So, to make something lasting which wont be written over by randomness, or with intent by goons with opposing interests, we must either pick a spot off to the side which isn't being "protected" yet, and/or get a number of people all doing the same thing.

Picking the yellow area at first was good, as it got us looking in the same spot. But Mr. "Yellow" is scribbling over any and everything that appears there. So, lets find a spot nearby, and decide what we want to do with it, and get all interested parties working together on it?

Say, a blue field, with "Impeach" and "Bush" written on it in red letters?

10. Been up for a couple of days.
My mouse is horrible. Just above the yellow field (now its become a duck) I've got a small blue field with Impeach Bush on it. Got scrawled out for a while, but I just restored it somewhat.

However, with my cruddy mouse, it's really sloppy.

So, if anyone with a better mouse wants to clean it up, have at it. Or, if anyone else wants to "spend" some paint on it, knock yourselves out.

Ran out of ink. It would be nice if we could draw out something like this too...

12. I noticed.
You, or someone else 3D-ifying the letters. I'll try to continue that.

Pretty nifty.

13. It got scribbledout again. Began Restoration.
Figures small minds have realized it is easier to destroy (scribble) that build. Ah well. Got the letters and frame restarted. No shading yet.

Also added some to the <>W.

Edited on Thu Mar-09-06 08:14 PM by Hatalles
... they're only good at destroying and screwing things up. The guy even scribbled out whoever wrote the "seconded" text. :)

Anyways, fixed the "Impeach Bush"... Didn't take long at all. Just some blue that needs to be re-added.

BTW, I wasn't the one shading the text... don't know who was doing that but it looked pretty nice.

The "No-W" sign is looking pretty good.

Edited on Thu Mar-09-06 10:51 PM by Ready4Change
Looks like it got clobbered again, in black, and someone (you?) restored it. Whoever did so has much better lettering than me.

I swear my mouse is spastic. I just cannot seem to draw a straight line, and don't even get me started on trying to do curves! Perhaps its the flash interface too? I have similar problems with photoshop on my machine here, but not nearly so severe. Yeech!

17. Teamwork!
I did at least some of the 3D. It looks cleaner than I did it, so I think someone tidied up after me.

Interesting how, after some time, the colors melt and run a little. Must be some averaging routines being run on it? Or maybe it gets saved in some type of lossy format?

Well, I'm nearly inkless. Time to see how it weathers the night.

someone put in some ugly face and it cluttered it all up. Fixed, and added "IMPEACH A CHIMP" in the empty area just above the W.

edit: added a du logo thingy at the bottom, under the W.

20. Like a sand castle, washed away in a tide of ink.
The Impeach Bush block got scribbled, and now someones doing a Batman in that area. If it were a crappy Batman I'd struggle against it, but this one looks pretty cool.

The <>W has been Bob Dole'd? Go figure. I'll spend some ink there, then seek a spot for whatever the next thing will be. I'll chime in here when I get that going.

22. Seems to have upset the freeps (or one at least)...
Someone had scribbled some messages under the symbol... "Drawball run by liberal fags"... another one had something to do with free speech, but of course, didn't make much sense.
