question about video cards and video games
I've got a year old laptop, a fairly nice Toshiba. The video is just whatever is on the motherboard, as far as I can tell.

It's got a decent processor and 4 gb of ram, but it's running my World of Warcraft in a very laggy fashion. I can't turn the video settings up above fair at all.

I'd like to boost the video performance so I can turn the video way up on WoW. What's the best way to do that? Do laptops use different video cards? I've only owned a laptop for a year, so I don't know much about them. If this was a PC I'd do it myself no problem.

Thanks!

1. I don't know but...
I would suggest trying The Helper's site:

http://www.thehelper.net/forums/index.php

The Helper has been around forever and I've gotten tons of great advice there over the years. If you go this way, post it in the General Tech Help forum.

2. Most of the time, laptop cards are integrated with the motherboard
About all you can do is overclock the CPU (and the video hardware if it lets you) and add some RAM. If you can get a SSD hard drive for your laptop, that might help if you install WoW onto it, but they're really pretty expensive as yet.
