The Industry Reacts: The Plight Of Lil’ Kim
The Industry Reacts: The Plight Of Lil’ Kim

March 18, 2005-- As her guilty verdict was read on Thursday, rapper Lil’ Kim reportedly sat stoically, shaking her head from side to side. Meanwhile, throngs of fans flocked to the pint-sized stars side outside of the New York City courthouse.

When Kim finally broke her silence, her subsequent statement was also void of emotion. "I am disappointed in the verdict. However, I was acquitted of the most serious charge, obstruction of justice. Throughout my life, I have always lived with adversity and will continue to have faith and do good for my family, friends and fans."

Perhaps, some speculate, she expected it.

“Well, I think it's interesting because money-wise you would almost think that she was hustling towards this day with this verdict in mind,” ponders Miss Info, a radio/TV personality. “If you notice over the past months, she inked clothing deals, jewelry deals, worked the front row at Fashion Week, and even taped a quickie makeover show for VH1.”

1. Seems like the green-eyed monster has affected
Lil' Kim's "industry" peers.

The perjury conviction is a serious thing, but maybe not compared to..."she inked clothing deals, jewelry deals, worked the front row at Fashion Week, and even taped a quickie makeover show for VH1.” from the peer perspective. ;)
