Moseley releases his must read list
Staff report
Posted : Saturday Feb 2, 2008 16:51:46 EST

Gen. T. Michael Moseley released this year’s Chief of Staff reading list yesterday.

The list consists of books that cover Air Force and military heritage, the current Air Force mission, and the Middle East.

Each year it’s stressed to all airmen, no matter the rank, to get their hands on the books on the list, and they will be made available at all Air Force libraries and Air University schools.

“Lifelong education is a crucial part of being a professional warrior, and professional reading enhances our warrior ethos,” Moseley said in a release.

However, this year Moseley recommended only one book — “The Crisis of Islam: Holy War and Unholy Terror” by Bernard Lewis — that covers the Middle East. Last year Moseley recommended five different books applicable to the culture and history of the area of operations for Central Command where most airmen are deployed.
