Twin Marines arrested after nightclub shooting
Twin Marines arrested after nightclub shooting

Twin brothers, both Marines, face deadly conduct charges in Texas after they allegedly shot up a San Antonio nightclub Friday morning, authorities said.

Sgt. Ralph Perez and Lance Cpl. Robert Perez Jr., both 22, were detained in the Berax County Jail following the incident. No one was hurt in the shooting.

The incident occurred about 1:30 a.m., after the Perez brothers — allegedly drunk and disruptive — were tossed from the Planeta Mexico nightclub, according to a San Antonio Police Department report. Investigators told the San Antonio Express-News that the Marines were asked to leave because they were interfering with a commercial being shot at the club.

According to the police report, the Marines tried to intimidate the club’s bouncers by driving a 2002 Ford Mustang across the nightclub parking lot, then one of the brothers allegedly shot toward the bouncers from the car.

Police recovered eight shell casings appearing to match a 9mm handgun, according to the report. At least four vehicles in the parking lot were struck.
