If he runs, how many are prepared to donated what they can
at the start?

There are two in this household that will max out on the day he announces. I can hold off on the roof for another year. How about you?

1. That would be our household as well
I know a number of other households that would do the same. How do I know for sure? Most of them have been wearing "Gore '08" buttons for over a year.

2. I can't afford to come even close to maxing out
but I will definitely donate on day one.

3. I'm in the Military, so I don't make that much to begin with...
...but I would give until it hurt.

4. My donation to Al Gore
has been sitting in my checking account for three years.

Btw, does anyone know the donation limit per candidate?

5. I'm under the impression that you can give 2,300 per election
per candidate. So you could give 2,300 for the primary and 2,300 for the general election.

6. Thanks!
I knew it was more than in 2004.

I believe that if (when) he announced, he would be the number one receiver of donations made in one day!

8. I don't think fundraising will be a problem
Gore has plenty of friends who can organize and widespread support, probably more importantly he has name recognition and exposure such that he won't need to have tons of annoying commercials to let people know who he is or where he stands. He'll have plenty of money.

9. Me. But It's more like I'll be economizing even further.
I'm well below the poverty level.

12. confirmed
I just spoke with one of my buddies this morning. He's ready to donate and hold a fundraiser. He's so excited he's already putting together a list of people to invite.

14. I'm in! I am not sure for how much...
I installed double-paned windows this summer and need to add insulation to my attic to be ready for winter -- to reduce my use of natural gas. Then again, it just occurred to me today that I need to file to get my pre-tax health savings account $$ reimbursed for expenses over the this past year and that would give me a nice chunk of change that could go directly to the Gore campaign.
