Wow, what a finish!

It's going to be a long wait until season 2.

No spoilers for now.

1. I watching the tape right now

One of the best lines so far was when Boomer's partner says "You got it."

Without hesitation, not so much as a blink, when Boomer says if I'm not back in 5 mins leave without me.

lol

2. Lords of Kobol!!!!
I just finished watching.

I can barely express my admiration for the quality of this show. There are occasional technical nit picks (but by far fewer than in most shows) but the focus on character, the adventurous spirit of the writers who are willing to take stories in unexpected directions. And not just twisting things for the sake of shock value but in ways to highlight real human decisions and situations and explore the most passionate and challenging questions and decisions humans have to make.

And I'm listening to the podcast of RD Moore and he repeatedly talks about how he respects his audience and has high expectations of their intelligence. Many people in Hollywood and entertainment in general have a lot to learn from this guy.

3. This series has the potential to usurp the title of best sci fi TV ever...
Man, what a shocker of an ending. I didn't even see it coming.

6. Best Sci-Fi Show In Memory
I can't think of a science fiction show that I'd place higher than BSG Mark 2...It rates up there as one of the best television shows, period...not just sci-fi.

Anyone who has refused to watch this show because starbuck is now a girl or whatever differences from the original should be ashamed at this point.

YOu still have time to probably pick it up as it's replayed in May and June prior to the season starting. I recomend you do it.

8. Took a little while to grow on me...
But the battle sequence of the second half of the miniseries finally did it.

Someone that was willing to show just how EFFECTIVE...and nasty...a capship antifighter/antitorpedo barrage was. About time! The ending to the scene helped alot, too. Woman or not, 'You are BEYOND insane!' was Starbuck through and through.

From there, the series just kept getting better. May be the first scifi series in a LONG time that I actually make a point of watching. :>
