"The Office" (US version)
I really didn't think the US version would be able to compare to the original, but last night's episode had me in stitches. (The boss brings in the hot "purse lady" to work in a conference room.)

Don't get me wrong, the whole cast is pretty good, but Steve Correll is making this show. The casting director did an excellent job.

1. I've seen all but one episode
I like this show. Actually thought last night wasn't as funny as the others, just setting the conflicts in place for Season Two.

2. The quality of this show surprises me, too.
I still think "Arrested Development" is the best comedy on television since "Seinfeld", but "The Office" is doing a pretty good job.

3. It's a funny show
I've never seen the original though.

I would agree that the casting makes the show.

It doesn't hurt that I have a major crush on the girl who plays Pam. She is SO my type.

4. This show cracks me up
My favorite episode so far, though, is the one where they're selecting a new health plan. It was a real hoot!

5. How many Filet O' Fish did you eat?
This ep actually made me laugh out loud. The basketball game was a funny one, too.

I originally pooh-poohed this show but it has its charm.

6. I'll stick with the original version...
The US copy is starting here on the 22nd of June and I'm going to give it a miss, mainly because just by what I've seen in the ads it looks like an attempt to produce a sanitised version of an original for their own domestic consumption....

Violet...
