Trump should have hired both women
This gave me a laugh, the author apparently doesn't have a very high regard for Trump. I agree that he is a pompous blow-hard but his show is mildly entertaining. There were too many funny one-liners, I didn't know where in the heck to snip.

Trump should have hired both women
Basis for deciding between the two was false

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/7913225

<snip>

"But this is an era where the false dichotomy reigns. And because Trump is incapable of thinking outside his self-constructed Bristle Block box, he had to create a fake reason to fire one and hire the other.

That fake reason was hammered relentlessly during the finale and during the penultimate episode, and focused on Tana’s interaction with her team. She apologized for her more flippant comments about her teammates, suggesting she was guilty of poor attempts at humor. But that admission had little effect."

<big snip>

{talking about the revelation that Tana designed part of the Pontiac brochure...} "Perhaps Trump would dismiss it, just as he just ignored this surprising new evidence. He said, simply, “Let’s say you both did a good job.” A better idea: Let’s say you’re a myopic billionaire who surrounds himself with people who help attach your blinders every morning.

This behavior has been on display in the boardroom before, when Trump let qualified candidates go for insignificant reasons instead of looking at the broader picture. Right before he hired Kendra, he announced that he was essentially doing so because she performed better during the final task. And he admitted that he was once again ignoring complexity for the sake of simplicity."

1. Tana is continuing to make an ass of herself everywhere she goes
Watch Conan repeat on Monday if you want to see someone who gives Bush a run for his money

3. Check out the site Television without pity
Here's one thing that was posted

Basically, Tana was claiming that Trump didn't hire her, because he's afraid of her for always speaking her mind. She claims she didn't win because she isn't a "yes person", and that's why Kendra won. The crowd booed then, and then it got worse when she claimed that wouldn't "stroke Trump". I'm not sure if she meant to say it like that (she later claimed she ment Trump's ego), but the crowd automatically began muttering and going "Ohhhhh" since it sounded like Tana was hinting that Kendra did something sexual to Trump to win. Thankfully, Conan defused the situation by joking that he himself strokes Trump to get him on the show.

Conan reaction the whole time was surreal. He laughed, but you could tell he was laughing at her, not with her. He was very sacrastic with her, but it blew over her head. By the end of the interview, it really looked like Conan wished he was somewhere else. When Tana offered her children's book to Conan's daughter as a gift, but actually plugging it at the sametime, Conan was almost in shock.

Hopefully, someone will have a better recap. Because there was so many stupid things she said that I can't remember. I'm still kind of in shock about it.

9. I'm thinking
he didn't hire her because she came across as a complete psycho on the final task.

I mean, really, who doesn't know that if the gov's aide says, "The gov. is sitting outside with no idea what he is supposed to do," that you respond with "Let me go and talk to him and make sure everything is clear" and not "That's OK." I knew she had lost right there.

4. No
He hired the right person. I see no reason for him to have hired Tana.

5. Me, either.
In my view, Bill and Kwami were more evenly matched than these two. I think Tana would have proved to be an embarrassment to Trump. She made too many excuses and while there were times that her personality proved to be an asset, she just didn't seem to know when it was appropriate to be loud and boisterous and when it wasn't. She reminded me of the obnoxious car salesman that thinks he or she can get you to buy anything by being loud and funny without providing much information.

10. I read that, too
and in no way did I think Tana should have been hired. She drove me nuts -- I didn't like her all along, so I'm really glad Kendra won. She flew under the radar for a long time, but on the Pontiac task and the last couple of weeks she really came through. This is a perfect job for her in Palm Beach, given her background. I knew Tana would pick the Miss Universe Pageant and that Kendra would pick the mansion. I think Tana would have been a disaster. It's not bad to have an ego in Trump's world, but she was not a team player unless the team did everything she wanted. He made the right choice.
