Survivor Gabon - Episodes 1 and 2
Wow, what a GREAT start. I wish they showed two episodes the first night every year. It was great to watch. I have to start with some chuckles at the Fang Tribe. From terrible selections to poor tribal life, this team was doomed at the challenges. I have to agree with Michelle that it was a bad choice to evict her first, but she was a bit crazy with her fat people comments. She has some serious body issues.

The two oldest people, Bob and Gillian, are like night and day. Bob kicks ass while Gillian just annoyed people. If she would have backed off at camp, it may have worked better. The first challange shows how lopsided the teams are physically. Michele kicked ass though. I started to like her from teh get go. Then she opened her mouth up at camp and was just a dumb player.

At camp, Bob and Kota showed they can work as a single unit well. Its amazing how each year one tribe works wel whiel the other seems spaced and lost. While Bob is building roofs and benches, Gillian is collecting elephant dung. Ace is already playing the asshole role, but that might carry him as he has the physical skills that will keep him in demand. I hope he sticks around. It will be fun to see him and the doc fight. I find the Charlie and Marcus team so cute. Charlie is so infatuated with Marcus. I love that line, We're in Eden with two Adams and no Eve.

Anyway, the decision to vote off Michele was clear in teh next challenge. It was a bad idea. It was an even worse idea for Danny-GC to take on a leadership role. It just put a target on his back. HE is way to angry for that type of job. It was smart of him to back off. Gillian was finally sent packing, but its too late, down two people, and with a weak tribe already, I fear Fang is done for.

Baack on Kota, the Charlie.Marcua team has grown by two and added Jacquie and Corinne.. I already have a crush on JAcquie and Corinne wants to be the bad girl, so she shoudl be fun to watch. They better be careful about adding Bob into the alliance. If they let him know at all taht he is not an equal member, they are goign to expose themselves.

Anyway, great first two episodes. I am goign to like this season, I can feel it.

1. I am so glad Michele got voted off
But then I never like the young, constantly-complaining, pretty women. Or the young "pin-up" girls that seem only to rely on looks and let the men have the brains. I sound like an old fart complaining about them but I'm only in my early 30's and I hate stupid girls. Actually, I pretty much can't stand most of the younger women they put on Survivor. They are all vacuous followers and constantly bitch about "old", "fat", or "ugly" people. Oh, and they are so happy to let the "smart men" do the work and leading and whatever.

At the first tribal council, after everyone agreed to let GC be the leader he looked petrified, like he was thinking "What did I get myself into?!" I had to laugh at him. What was up with the Olympian on the first day and not being able to get up the hill? Heavy shoes, is that what she said? As for the challenge with the digging and puzzle, the Fang tribe seemed to be blaming that on the older people, too. Um, the older members were WAITING for you to dig out the pieces. I saw three young, strong people sitting around the hole letting other tribe members dig.

I am so happy with my Marcus pick! I kind of like the attorney guy, too -- the one that went to Exile Island. He struck a chord with me when he said he is trying to "find himself" right now. Yeah, me too for the last 4 years!

Sorry if I sound bitter and grumpy, I am just sick of the lack of women with SUBSTANCE on Survivor and other TV shows. Plus, I have had labyrinthitis for the past TWO MONTHS and I am too dizzy to function most of the time and hear CONSTANT crackling in my ear. SO I'LL BITCH AND SCREAM IF I WANT TO!! :P

2. scream all you want
We don't mind. I hear you loud and clear about the "pretty" girls on survivor trying to rely on looks, but then someone like Pavarti comes along, who uses both beauty and brains to win (thogh I still thought Amanda should have won). Anyway, Michele was dominating in challenges, and in teh first couple of votes, you have to get rid of those who hurt you in challenges. At least thats what I think. anyway, glad you are going to watch. Looking forward to catching up and watching the show.
