Let's stick together
If anyone posts something postive about Dennis, let's nominate it for the greatest page. Let's keep his name up front.

2. I don't think this
is a good idea. Not that I don't support Dennis but this has happened with other candidates and it was not taken very well by other members or by the administrators of this site. Since ADA is now gone I can't link but the Clark people got in a real mess over this. I also know that Dennis brings out the worst in some people. I sometimes think we frame our posts in a way that just pisses people off enough that they post their very worst as a reaction to us and it is not good for DK in the long run.

You all do what you want but I thought it might help to have that insight, take it or leave it.

3. Someone has to stand up for Dennis
The Deaniacs certainly won't. They want his head on a platter.

4. They do not matter.
What matters to me is that Dennis stands true the way he has and gets out his message. I am not suggesting that we do not post about him. To make an effort to throw him out as the only, the perfect, the only choice if people would just open their eyes is to insult people and make them hate us and Dennis along with us. This is only my opinion and it means nothing really. The Deaniacs do not matter, Dean is anything but what he pretends to be and apparently most of the Democrats who vote also know this. We have a candidate here who is exactly what he says he is. He will be heard, we will post about him, we will respond when we see a post. I am only suggesting that we do it in a way that does not cause such a hateful and nasty reaction to us, the messengers for Dennis. To band together on this board in the manner suggested will get us and Dennis put into a bad position, just like it has for the other groups who have tried it and I really do not want to see that happen. As I said before this is just my opinion and has nothing to do with standing up for Dennis. I suggest we re-frame the way we put him out there. Others here have every right to question all the candidates and Dennis Kucinich can stand head and shoulders above all the others, again my opinion, but others will never give him a chance if they see us as worshipers instead of supporters who respect their right to their minds. His message stands out, they will hear it.

A little subtlety is in order.

6. Lydia
it took me forever to learn how to be a good advocate and I am still nowhere near where I should be. I would get so angry and say things that I should not have said. Then I stopped and thought about how DK would be in that situation and how he would want people to think about his campaign and supporters. This is not what I was referring to in my post above but I think it was a very important step and helped me a great deal. I wish I was better at it.

His message is so different than any of the others we have seen that I really think just laying low, meaning put the info out there and support each other and him, is all that needs to be done. I get so tired of the usual suspects flaming away but I think we do tend to provoke them. I so not like being called a cultist so it often keeps me out of those threads.

7. What you don't realize is that half or more of the posters are Republicans
It is important to point out the great things Dennis does. Thers are others who agree with this and we shouldn't back down just because the Republicans are scared that, if Dennis gets too much publicity, he may win. When new people turn to Democratic Underground, it's good when they see what great thing Dennis has recently done.

The truth of the matter is that Dennis is, in fact, doing more for our country than anyone else and we need to keep pointing out what he is doing. We shouldn't be hide his great deeds. We need to make sure the whole world knows about them.

8. I know I know
I never said we should not put it out there or support it. Read what I said, I am on your side here. I think it is not helpful for us to bully the message though. His message speaks for itself. Put it out, support it and ignore all the people who want so much to make him look like a loony. It is as hard for me as anyone to ignore them but I am trying. Cut them off, stay positive.

One of the things that really, REALLY turned me totally off of Dean (besides Dean himself) was the way we were bullied into seeing nothing but Dean threads and Dean supporters. They could not or would not hear of anyone not loving the guy. We should be aware that others might begin to feel that way about us and then also about Dennis if we use those same tactics.

I don't know much of anything really, I am just trying to keep away from that kind of action that could cause more harm than good.

9. I tend to agree Muse Rider
Its a fine line...
If Dennis makes the news I think we should support him but to "push" him ....I'm not so sure either....there are many who seem to have an "allergic reaction" to Dennis. I don't get it but I certainly see it happening.

Its a fine line between support and forcing him on everyone....and that is what bothers me so about Dean supporters. They are fanatical about him and that is always scary!!!

I don't want to be a bully- not DK's style. The man has a lot going for him & I still think that truth and integrity will out in the end.....

(but I reserve the right to change my mind if we see that more support is needed)
