1. Did you hear that he might not re-run
the WSJ of all places is reporting this. Curiously enough, this would be because he wants to run for Pres and doesn't want the defeat on his resume.

Oooooh, I love this article. I printed this out and hung it in my cubie. Hahahahahahahahahaha!

MA Gov takes snow removal money and uses it on football party. Four children hurt when they are forced to walk in the street because the sidewalks at their school have not been plowed.

Govnah Mitt has not yet commented, because he was caught red-handed. The Pats rally put him on TV, the kids will, after-all, live. (What's a broken leg between friends, anyway.) The same cannot be said for the Govnah's political career. Hehehehehehehe!

Pats win and Govnah makes a dumb-dumb mistake. Life is good!

2. I posted it just for you.
I know it's OT for this forum, except of interest because of all the trashing that empty suit did of JK last year.

Maybe I should have PM'd it to you, but I figure the story deserves some publicity!!!!

It's a beaut, isn't it??? Did he imagine no one would discover this truly BONEHEADED maneuver???

I didn't see the WSJ article - but we get a copy here so I can go down to the kitchen and peruse. It makes sense - I really don't think he has a chance in hell of getting re-elected, and he hasn't really got a constituency here anyway, to use for a national run.

4. In MD, we say "Gubner."
Here's hoping both our MA and MD Gubners are Dems in 2006. Pray, pray, pray!

I love authentic American accents. Baltimoreans (is this the name of folks who live in that fair city sp?)have a lovely accent that is unique to that area. Someone posted that it is beginning to fade out. (So is mine, sigh!) Is this true?

8. Baltimoreans or Baltimorons.
I was the one who said it's fading away. It's hard to preserve the classic accent that one hears in a local hit like "Crabs For Christmas," because so many of the older white people native to city are moving out into the 'burbs or the country like my family did.
I mean how many of you Bostonians talk like Bobby Kennedy? It's said that accent might be going. It's wicked good...

9. Nobody talks like the Kennedy's
They have that weird mix of Boston, Palm Beach and Hyannisport (or something.) I just have your classic, working class Boston accent. It exists currently from Rhode Island up through Maine. (Some of Connecticut, but we are all suspicious of CT here. They are always making goo-goo eyes with New York, you know. Not sure about them. Half of them are Yankee fans, ya know.) You will, of course, still hear the classic Boston accent in Boston, but you will also find it diminishing out to the 'burbs. (Hey, that's where I got it.)

Southern accents (so charming, I love John Edwards accent for instance) seem to be here to stay. Thank goodness. I love regionalisms. Who wants to go and visit a place that is just like the place you left. I want variations, makes life interesting.

10. He seriously wants to run for president??
Oh that's funny. I don't know too much about the guy, but what I do know, I don't like...

Ha, my fatass corporate-lobbyist pig of a governor (Haley Barbour) has also been floated as a 2008 nominee. He's up for reelection in '07 and I'm almost hoping he gets it and decides to try for president, because he's such a despicable unlikable sleaze and it would be so fun to watch. By that time I should be a resident of either Maryland or DC anyway, so I wouldn't even have to be personally embarrassed. ;) If Kerry is our nom, and by some chance Barbour got the nom for the GOP, Kerry'd rip his ass apart. I mean it would be a freaking landslide. There is one issue in particular that Pigboy (what we call him at my house) actually screwed up with and went too far to the right for HERE with... cutting Medicaid benefits and "purging" the recipient rolls. Pissed off a LOT of people and had to backtrack on it. That would be one heck of a millstone by itself, but he's such a slime bag that it wouldn't even be necessary.

Maybe we should all covertly sabotage the GOP nomination when that time rolls around by anonymously supporting the worst possible candidate (from their POV).
