5. Biden looks fairly tall also
Never noticed that before. But JK is definitely the standout in these pics.

3. He does - even though in some pictures with his hands together

and the way he is standing he seems to be trying to be less conspicuous and watch what is going on.

He is the tallest, most impressive looking - and he has the best tie, but it also seems he is connecting better. (or this set of photos may be deceptive)

It is interesting that he does seem the one the Pakistanis in the pictures are looking at or talking to. Look at the second to last photo - clearly both Biden and Kerry are speaking, but no one is looking at Biden. In the picture above it, Biden and Hagel are not engaged, while he is.

4. It's pretty hilarious when you see him like this in the footage of the Vietnam visit, too!
Edited on Tue Feb-19-08 12:58 PM by Luftmensch067
He's with other senators there, as well, but the C-SPAN camera is mostly on him. He's the active presence, always striding ahead; he can't wait to see what needs to be seen, to connect with the people, to get the real story. And, just as in these pictures, everyone in a village, adult and child alike, connects with and trusts him instantly. The officials may not trust as easily, but they definitely respond to him as a leader.

Thanks so much to Fedup for posting these pictures!

6. really good observations
He DOES seem to be the one people are talking to (the only deception might be that there are OTHER pictures out there, where people were talking directly to Hagel and Biden. .but we haven't seen those)

9. Great pics!!!
Thank you, now when are they coming home??? I've been in constant prayer for their safety, and won't rest easy until they are back on American soil! It's a commendable job they are doing, but a bit ironic in JK's case. I know he wishes he could have done this in Ohio !!! O8) :patriot:

15. I just got a glimpse of JK on CNN International! And more pictures!
They showed footage of the three senators meeting with Musharraf yesterday. Today they seem to be in Afghanistan. There are some more pictures.

16. They gave a press conference
while in Pakistan, it would be interesting to read (or even better see/hear) what they said. I only saw a very short snippet somewhere.
