About those pesky Secretary of State rumors:
"I hope Kerry doesn’t heed any such siren call. Given Sen. Ted Kennedy’s illness, Massachusets needs another senator with seniority to provide continuity and pick up the load as Kennedy recuperates.
Kerry remains way ahead of Beatty in the polls and appears to be shedding that old JFK as in “Just For Kerry” label. He’s rented coordinated campaign headquarters for Democratic candidates for the Legislature. And in a campaign stop at a diner Saturday, he shook every hand in the house.
The fellow veterans - some from the Vietnam era, some from Iraq who stumped with Kerry Saturday - are devoted to him. When Bob Bolduc of Auburn was asked to help Kerry in the Iowa caucuses in ’04, Bolduc said, “I sold my house, put everything in storage and went around the country for John for a year.”
Army veteran Walter Gallagher quipped “I got kidnapped” by persuasive Kerry aides to help “put a veteran in the White House.”"

What's next, cats living with dogs, Yankee and Red Sox fans getting chummy, Wall Street offering to tone down the end-of-the-year parties and bonuses? (Okay, that last one is a stretch.)
Anyway, this was a nice article.
