A weird thing happened to me today
Let me start by telling you my story from 4 years ago. When the primaries started in '04 I had these Irish rosary beads ( I call them Irish because they are green and white) and they belonged to my mother who passed away in 1994, a true blue Democrat. So anyway, everyday of the primary I would wear these rosary beads around my neck, in fact the first time I met JK I had them on and there was a primary that day and he won. So I called them my lucky rosary beads for JK.

Well on election day in '04, I went to put them on and could not find them anywhere, I searched and searched to no avail and had to go vote and work the polls without them and then we know what happened.

Well today I was drying a load of clothes, some of them had been hanging in my closet for years. So I hear this noise and I take out everything in the dryer and I reach in and pull out my lucky JK rosary beads. I was shocked but then I said to myself what does this mean for them to show up 4 days before the election and 4 years later. I think we all know that JK will win his Senate seat back, but maybe it is a sign that Obama will win too. Talk about omens, this finding made my day.

Here they are giving two great candidates all the luck in the world. I will be wearing them on Nov. 4th

1. Wear those beads and make it happen!
. . .for all of us and for our parents (mine also passed away around the same time, and both would have been devastated by the events of the last 8 years. . )

Two more things:
1. By the way, how DO you upload figures onto these posts? Can you or anyone else advise? I haven't been able to figure out how to do it yet. .Desperately seeking instruction from someone on this forum!

2. Also by the way (but kind of related), I saw a car today with two fresh-looking bumper stickers:
a. on the left: Kerry-Edwards ("for a stronger America")
b. on the right: Obama-Biden 2008

2. You mean upload pics?
Go and join(it's free)photobucket.com, then you can load your pics and then once that is done they will have 4 categories to choose of where you want to load them, choose the Direct Link and copy it and then paste it to your post. You can practice with posting by just previewing and then when you have it right you can post it.

7. My husband says, yes
I am not computer savvy at all. But give it a try, when you click on upload it will bring you to a new page and then it will say browse and bring up your files from your computer, then you just click on the pic you want and name it if you want and then click import.

4. Wow That is so nice that you the rosary beeds
both because of the significance to the election and because it was likely hard losing something that special to you. It looks great for these two great men. We may be seeing the beginning of the world changing on Tuesday.

5. It's a sign. And I am not even that superstitious. But darnit, it is
going to happen for us this time.

There were lines in some places in Atlanta metro 10 hours long today to vote. People stayed and voted. Something is happening, and change is coming.

Thanks for the story, Fedup.

9. Nice story
Last election, I wore red (for Momma T :)). Last week, I wore purple (a tribute to hope and unity :patriot:).

Glad the beads came in handy. :)

12. Hi all
I'm back from my week of total jubilance. Went to NYC and saw my kids and even was on GMA on Monday morning but I had no way to tell you all. Then on to Boston and was there Monday and Tuesday, where I met up with some of the JK bloggers from this group, it will be a trip I will never forget.

Just wanted to let you all know that I wore them and Senator Kerry was in my presence when I had them on, I couldn't of asked for a better ending to this story.

P.S. Those rosary beads are going to be put in a collage that I am making of all my Kerry nostalgia items. :-)

13. It was so good to see you!
I should have asked to see the beads! I hope maybe after you make the collage, you'll show us a picture or something -- I love that stuff! I have a little collection of JK memorabilia on my desk.
