2. I saw him speak at Caesar's Palace (at the Colosseum)...

...at a fundraiser called "The Good Fight" for Senator Reid's re-election fund. It was a beautiful event, which included entertainment by Sheryl Crow, Bet Midler and Rachel...something :).

I honestly would have a hard time describing the speech...other than to say it was more of a 'political rally-style' speech, rather than a policy speech. He did briefly mention his SC nominee, Sotomayor. Seriously, it was like going to see the Beatles in 1964 :7 ...there was so much screaming and clapping and excitement, it was hard to follow the words. I'm hoping to find a replay somewhere.

You all know I've volunteered in that area in both 2004 and 2008...so I've driven to Vegas several times for that. But, I have to tell you, yesterday...as I was driving into town on I-15...Air Force One flew low over the freeway. :) I've never seen Air Force One before. In my excitement, I nearly forgot I was driving. What a spectacular sight !! :patriot:

5. Sounds like an incredible experience! :)
I know it was when I saw him in Phoenix during the primaries in January of last year. You could feel the excitement rushing through the arena, just the hope and promise of it all. So I can only imagine how awesome it would be now that he's actually PRESIDENT! :D I'm so glad that you got to go! :) And thanks for volunteering there, in both 2004 and 2008. Nevada is such a crucial swing state and I'm glad we were at least able to keep it close in '04 and WIN it this time around! Thanks for helping to make that possible! :)

And seeing Air Force One, flying right over you..wow. Sounds incredible!

6. It was incredible to actually see him and...
...hear him speak 'in person.' But, almost equally impressive, is talking to the other Dems in attendance who share many of the same concerns, views, and opinions of the people in this group. It's a very positive thing...and it always inspires hope for the future. That was also one of the best aspects of volunteering there (and elsewhere, I'm sure).

And...according to President Obama...Harry Reid turned the red state BLUE! :7

Thanks, ObamaKerryDem... :)

9. Oh, I completely agree! :)

That was one of the best aspects of the whole campaining experience for me, too. Just the feeling of such unity and shared passion for the same cause. There is so much strength in numbers! :)

I am so glad Nevada went blue again (didn't Clinton win it once or twice? *goes to look up electoral map from those years..lol)! And I have a great feeling it will stay that way if things keep going the way they are! ;)

And you're welcome..it's true! :)

7. How awesome! Here's the youtube & transcript
I can really just imagine seeing the plane fly over and dang near forgetting to drive. What an exciting day!

The transcript is here, and I think all the videos. I didn't watch them all, so I'm not sure.

I don't think he's ever coming back to Oregon. Howard Dean comes here a lot, is coming again on Saturday. No JK. No Michelle. No Barack. Maybe they'll come again in 2012. *sigh*
