Trying to find coverage of JK at Davos
Edited on Sat Jan-29-11 09:38 AM by Luftmensch067
Here's a short video answer to someone's question (maybe this means there are more out there?):

The other two links on the page are from WEF sessions in the past, I'm guessing.

I'm seeing references to an interview JK did maybe yesterday or today with someone called Randi Zuckerberg from Facebook, but can't find the footage yet... Would love to find out about any panels he's participating in!

ETA: Here's a photo of the interview, which is how I know to look for it!

2. Thank you so much for all of this! It's truly awesome!

The Senator does a fantastic job of utilizing the "new media" (Twitter, web videos like these, etc). I love and admire that he does so many things like this!

Hope the Facebook footage comes out as well! This is great. So cool that he's in Switzerland at the moment..trading up a cold climate (here in the Northeastern US) for one possibly even colder? Such is the life of a busy, frequently travelling statesman, I suppose! lol :)

5. This is a wonderful interview - fantastic find
Randi did a great job with interesting questions in a very friendly environment. I have never heard a better set of answers on why Davos is important. (I always thought of it as the panels and talks - ignoring that the side meetings, dinners etc could be more important.) I liked Kerry's comments on technology - as always.

His comments on the Middle East were very good and in some ways better than his more measured comments on CNN.

What was also great was that - maybe because she was not a TV/radio/newspaper reporter, He was far more like the JK we have heard talk to us. Far friendlier, more open, relaxed, funny etc. while still be serious, thoughtful and respectful to her as an interviewer.

6. Completely agree
He seemed much more like himself and it's clear that the nature of the interviewer and the style of the exchange can really make a difference! It was also amazing to hear that he's been going to Davos since the Eighties. If only the American people knew what they'd really rejected in 2004 -- his experience and insight are of a depth and quality that I suppose a modern soundbite campaign are simply unable to encompass...
