Ok girls (and boys too, I suppose :P)
Edited on Fri Jan-07-05 10:40 PM by WildEyedLiberal
I'm bored again. I'm at home, on my crap dial up connection (I miss my apartment :() so everything takes forever to load. I've been depressed the past couple of days from a combination of freepers and lefty freepers, so I need some cheering up. And who better to cheer me up than the merry band of Kerrycrats? :P

I believe TayTay in particular requested some LLL action on Friday night. Well, here I am... ready for naughtiness! Especially since there was little to no LLL activity last night... ah well.

23. Mention of Skull and Bones ALWAYS wins
It's like the royal flush of lefty freeper idiocy.

LOL... we should make a drinking game for lefty freeper posts, and some night, we should all go into GD, and get wasted.

Some example rules:

Take one drink if they bitch about Kerry conceding.

Take two drinks if they call him a coward.

Drink the whole damn thing if they bring up Swift Boats Vets AND S&B in the same post.

47. S&B is about the dumbest argument ever
Honestly, how did we ever get 48% of the vote with people like that campaigning for us? I think they are the reason we lost. Poor Kerry and the Kerryites were out there making good impressions and then these vile sleazemongers (who only ever wanted someone else anyway) came along and opened their depressing mouths and, bam, there went the vote. (It's not Kerry, but I just can't listen to these Lefty freepers for 4 years, our intended voters said.) Next time, we must neutralize these oozing, weepy, depressing bunch of defeatist, prozac-needing bozos by locking them in a room with nothing but Chomsky books and all-natural yogurt. Then we will win.

15. I'm so liberally pure
Edited on Fri Jan-07-05 11:12 PM by TayTay
even Gawd bends before the moral force of my reasoning. Heaven itself stops to listen to me and angels revel at my droppings of knowledge. Here me, ye heathen wretches and marvel at the wonder of my words. For I have come to save you, nay to save all even unto the ends of the earth (and that really good coffee shop down the street.)

I'm working on an insufferables 'Sermon on the Mount'. I kinda started at the end because all good more-liberal-than-humanly-possible types end up on a Cross, less than nobly suffering for the sins of those not smart enough to comprehend their message. They will suffer for us. (Even if we would really rather they didn't as it is hell to get this kind of suffering out of the carpet.)

I'm but a lesser mortal and therefore unworthy of having such suffering done on my humble behalf.

I CAN FEEL THE EARTH AND THE ANIMALS AND THE INNOCENT CHILDREN CRYING! TO ME!!!! TO ME!!!!!!!!! And so I weep and flog myself for the sins of my country.

60. LMAO TAY TAY
Edited on Sat Jan-08-05 12:11 AM by angrydemocrat
I did read that one time before. I wouldn't exactly call the woman a wacko as WildEyedLiberal did LMAO because I couldn't see a smart good looking man like Kerry ever being with a so-called wacko LOL. But I must say I think the woman pushed the story a little over board if you know what I mean. I think she did the shit hoping she will sell her book.

But noe I must say from watching Kerry over the years and studying him the way I have for so many years now I must say he I feel he would be a totally inspiring ,drive you up the wall kind of men, that could make a woman have have such a major orgasim that it would leave evidence on the ceilinlg!!!!:loveya: :loveya: :loveya: :loveya:

I can see him as a man that would start romancing a woman over dinner with all his sweet charming talk and before that dinner ever finished you would be so intised with one another that you would be in a major kissing ,touching, feeling all over modes and he would just sweep you up never stopping the kissing and carry you to the bed type of man!!!! :loveya: :loveya: :loveya: :loveya: :loveya: :loveya:

Oh I can picture this man as a very dreamy just to die for romantic kind of man that I would give anything and I do mean anything to find out for myself!!:loveya: :loveya: :loveya: :loveya: :loveya: :loveya:

And how she still lusts after him? I mean, I don't blame her... I wouldn't be able to get over that sweet hunk of man, either, but then again, if I were as batty as her, I never would've hooked said sweey hunk of man in the first place. For REAL, John... what were you thinking? All the women in the world who want to do you, and you pick HER?

48. I feel kind of sorry for her..
How could you get over HIM? I mean, Jesus...if you had a 20 month affair with JOHN KERRY?!? That would have to be the most exciting 20 months in a person's life. I don't think I'd get over it either. It's unlikely that she has met anyone so riveting since. I honestly can't blame her for being bat-shit crazy over him and keeping a scrapbook. I'd probably do the same. The only comparable thing I ever did was have a 1.5 year romance with a semi-well known heavy metal singer.

Cool, but NOT John Kerry.

I think she was pretty, and was probably totally lovestruck and awestruck by him. What pisses me off, is I was single and living on the East Coast at the same time he was. I was YOUNG, but hey, barely legal is still legal.

I COULD HAVE TAPPED THAT.

53. I think it's kind of sad that
She kept coming back... it seemed almost like he was a little bit ashamed of her. I mean, she sounds pretty kooky, and can't write for crap, but still, it's like he never really took her seriously, and she couldn't see that. I do understand his need for privacy, but hell... I think I'd insist on being taken out in public, or there would be no relationship. After we had wild sex, of course... couldn't turn THAT down.

But then again, it's clear that John gravitates to (and admires) strong minded women, which this poor woman doesn't really seem to be. I think if I told him how it was gonna be, it would secretly turn him on. It's like he pitied her, or something... who wants a clingy woman?

I, on the other hand, have been called a borderline dominatrix. So dammit, when's MY chance to tap that?

39. Without any waiting, an excerpt
from her magnum opus

"We were sitting at one end of the long dining room table and suddenly we were feeding each other and kissing, and all over each other, and undressing each other and plates were falling on the floor, food was everyhwere, you know our usual combustible frenzy, and then he carried me to the bedroom., she writes. Asked by her friend what happened next, Nikki (the protagonist) says, "We made mad, passionate love and he immediately fell asleep." The unfortunate Nikki, however, almost dies as the senator lies snoring while she goes into anapylactic shock from eating shellfish."

Ahm, and this woman allegedly went to Harvard. I know Harvard had declining standards, but anaphylactic shock? Geez, mny dog could come up with a better way to move the plot along than that.

But again I don't know why but something tells me this woman is exaggerating things just bit. I mean shit there was a few of her statements in the other article that she claims John said that I find a little out there if you know what I mean? Especially the one where she claims he just came straight out and said he wasn't going to ever marry her. I mean get for real this man isn't like that. He wouldn't look at a women and say "well now let just say this I will fuck you and use you but you are not my type and I will never marry someone like you" Bullshit this woman is full of shit. Hell John to much of a gentlemen to be a male show biniz pig. He just wouldn't say anything rather than say something as stupid and corney as that shit. Everyone knows that the way to get Dems prepared for the next fight is to thoroughly and completely depress them with tales of hopelessness and doom. This is the great Dem 'reverse psychology' move. It begins, "Yeah us, we suck. We are so unable to get anything pure done that we should just all go out back and shoot ourselves in the head. End this mortal existence and spit in the face of a gawd grim enough to consign us to this hell of living. We are awful! We are so flat and everyone I ever voted for has sold me out. On purpose. And is now spending my money on beer, cheetos and cheap hookers and I'm wallowing in my own vile self-pity. Oh Woe is me!"

roughing the passer. You are too graphic and are going to be banned. And I am too delicate for this discussion. (You laugh? How dare you laugh at me, you little minx. I am too delicate. I went to Catholic school back in the day when that meant something and real nuns wore Penguin suits. And hit you with things when you were unruly. I carry my inner-nun around with me to this day. Undoubtedly, all the good work of Sister Robert Francis will be undone tonight. Heathen!)

Hmmmmm, I prefer other nomenclature on a public board. (More fun!)

WEL is in a cocky mood and is full of admiration for men who do exceed themselves fully.(There, decipher that one honey!)

Apparently, this is one of his favorite locations. Or, it was in his singlehood. Rumor kind of spread, and this was just something that people in the circle just sort of "knew" about him. No too long ago, he was attending a White House correspondent's dinner, and a reporter friend of mine was there. When Kerry came in the room, a blathering drunk conservative columnist named Taki stood up and yelled “Senator, do you like to have sex in limousines?” He knew this because a lady Kerry had dated was a friend of his and told him all about it.

Kerry apparently just gave him a REALLY dirty look and sat down.

From Taki:

"Now this is a hard thing to explain, but people do tend to tell each other secrets, and one of hers was that she was involved with JFK Mark II, the man who is now running for president. More details followed, and then it was time for a White House correspondents’ dinner. I had had much too much to drink—as a guest of Arnaud de Borchgrave, I was seated next to Fawn Hall—and when John Kerry lumbered by I heard myself yelling, “Senator, do you like to have sex in limousines?” Well, he didn’t look best pleased, but then he’s a politician and knows how to roll with the punches. He also knew that I knew and left it well enough alone."

Thus, he was not a 'member', but is, to this day a Senator. Unless, of course, you are talking generically and referring to all CongressCritters as 'Members' of Congress. In the sense in which you used it, I would indeed refer to many of those in Cogress as 'members.'

Hmm, theoretically speaking, of course, I do know someone who had a few nights out on the town with a well-known person from the great and noble city of Boston. Said person had a wonderful time and was treated to a grand dinner and such.

97. He was a great date!
He took this person I know to Olive's in Charlestown. She met him there. And that is why she didn't have another date, sort of. (long weird story about insecure peole.) She arrived at the restaurant, asked for the his table and then felt really funny. She felt like all the eyes were on her as she walked to the table. She mightily didn't like it. (Funny, if she had been the one who never went anywhere, it might have been a longer association.) She felt strange and out of place. Then, because she had asked me about what place this charming person she had met occupied in the world, she became tongue-tied and didn't speak. (Must have been a fabulous date. One party is too intimidated to actually speak. Must have wondered what happened to the charming woman he talked to the night before. I actually felt guilty about that. If I hadn't been at work to take her call, she wouldn't have been so nervous. She was so nervous she was drinking vodka straight out of the bottle before she left for the date. Didn't seem to help.)

Anyway, I believe him when he says that the single life for public figures can be a very lonely existence. I'm so happy he met someone like THK. Now that is a woman who can engage a man fully.

Teresa seems to be the perfect woman for him. (sorry to kill the young'uns buzz)

I think he was very lonely. From what I know about his single years they sound incredibly bleak.

It is funny about that date. Not hard to imagine someone being intimidated by the idea of him, but in our few encounters he's struck me as quite sweet and shy, actually. Earnest.

No wonder the vodka didn't help!

And the story has it's funny aspects. But she met a charming man who had enough conversational skill to make her feel at ease. Then, the next day, not at ease. And I know for a fact that it was her fault.

But how sad. I wonder if he met many women like that. I wonder if he met the equal and opposite type as well (people who want to associate with you cuz you're famous or whatever.) Yuck!

Funny you should bring up the shyness factor. I have always found that very attractive in a man. Very romantic.

There's something about John that makes me feel protective of him - I mean, aside from his political positions - ;-)

I imagine a lot of women looked up to him to a degree he found uncomfortable. A man like that likes to be teased. But gently.

It's funny how much my husband + JK have in common - they also both have that silly, goofy side that makes their daughters roll their eyes and say - affectionately - Dad, you're such a dork.

I feel a little guilty talking like this here - I think such talk is killing off the LLL buzz. But I love him too!

Our LLL friends are in college now. They surely have seen the value of a guy who has the sides we talked about. This is the good stuff. When you see guys like this, grab 'em. This is someone who engages all of you, from the wild side to the talking over the papers about something side. Nothing, but nothing is sexier than a guy who takes you seriously and yet gives you room to be naughty. That's a wonderful thing. Engages all the sides of me, from wonk to LLL.

For the record, my husband could not look less like JK than if he was designed by committee for that express purpose. But I loves 'em.

128. No kidding
I LOVE sensitive, shy men. It's honestly one of the firstthings that attracted me to John. He's the kind of man I've always wanted - kind, gentle, shy, witty, crazy, fun, intelligent, honest, honorable, reserved, masculine, and maybe just a wee bit kinky. It's really not a superficial attraction, though I do think he looks good enough to eat. He's the kind of man I've been looking in vain for ever since I decided I was lonely and wanted someone who understands me. Unfortunately, I know absolutely zero guys like him. Fortunately, I am only 20 and thus have plenty of time.

You spin a good yarn, but let's face it, it takes a special woman to be able to appreciate these fine qualities. There aren't too many like John out there - but you'll find yours, I'm sure of it.

The really tough part is that 20-year-old men are but never like that. I met my husband when I was 22 and he was 27, and he was gorgeous but - well - 27. We've now been married for 27 years, and, despite my 33-year-old crush on JK, I adore him.

142. She's not very - well, you know -
New England.

Teresa is the polar opposite of a New Englander - she's outspoken, impetuous, hotblooded, and f***ing rich. In New England bluebloods are supposed to be tightlipped, reserved and wear rags even if they're richer than god.

166. I don't know her that well,
but I don't think she's a bitch. More just an outsider. It's hard to be accepted here. Which papers were you reading? If it was the Herald, pay no attention. They had a screaming front page headline the day JK spoke at the convention about how Vanessa and Alexandra were fighting over Ben Affleck. Puhleeze.

The papers here have never been kind to him. They range from insulting to condescending, but basically you can't believe a quarter of what you read about him in the local press. And I'd bet that goes double for Teresa.

And Metro West Daily News. It was in the opinion part. Ai the metro site I typed in John Kerry and it brought up several comments and articles about him. Let me say I was shocked at some of the shit I read. I really couldn't believe it. Some of it was sickening what people said about there own senator who has done nothing but good for them. But hell they trashed Kennedy too. I really couldn't believe the shit. Thats the ones it is to bad you couldn't give a one way ticket to the south. They would sure as hell fit in.

185. There you go then,
the Herald is our lying tabloid rag. They have a columnist named Howie Carr who LOATHES Kerry (he's the one who invented that "Liveshot" crap). A few months ago I had a long discussion with some Herald person who called trying to sell me a subscription. I said, "If you fire Howie Carr I'll consider it."

Anyway, the Herald is also Boston's right-wing paper - that is to say, right wing for Boston. They are always mean about Kerry, and especially mean about Teresa. I've never heard anyone else call Teresa a bitch, but she is high-strung and high maintenance, so I'm sure she's rubbed plenty of people the wrong way. Also if she blocks anyone's access to John they might hold it against her.

He doesn't prefer blondes... he didn't marry any!

Besides, I know John would be more attracted to a woman who is NOT willing to change for him (or for any man, for that matter). That's why I think this woman is so not his type... she seems too ditzy and flaky, too doormatish. What he needs is a strong, independent, sassy woman who speaks her mind, is brilliant and witty, and is good looking to boot.

John... come on. baby, you know you want to... Hell, I'm fairly confident I'd be a better lover than Miss Hedge Fund Mistress, or whatever the hell.

73. Honestly, and this woman went to Harvard!
No sense of design. A messy slobby web page that just splatters her best points willy-nilly about the page. I am ashamed of the graduate of 'The World's Greatest University.' Standards, people, standards.

That being said, and noting that in one of the lines from her book the UK press had referred to her rubbing her fictional Senator's back, whilst he talked over possible war with somebody important on the phone. Her heroine then opines her doubts about interrupting her lover, "You don't interrupt a man with useless chatter when he's mulling over world events." What a wimpy, useless woman! Honestly, why would anyone want a woman who won't even interrupt a man for mad monkey love. Like any man would ever, ever object to that. She obvisouly has never seen even one episode of 'Sex and the City.' Sniff!

Honestly, I think she caught the good Senator when he was tired. She can't even make proper sentences. And she is reduced to trying to sell a book that nobody wants. But she did have the cool pics up of Kerry from 10 years ago when his hair was all black and I do so like those pics.

88. Whometense, I have a question for you
And you are up late as well. You are a Masshole and you go way back with Sen. Kerry. (As a supporter, silly.) I remember thinking during the election that the Rethugs were so gawd-awful sleazy that they were going to find a bring up something from Kerry's single days. (distorting something innocent.) But it never came up. I am, relieved, of course. I have a theory about this. I think they wrote the script that Kerry was a stiff and nothing was going to get in the way of that. Either that or no one in MA would talk.

I don't think it is an accident that we are the only state to approve Gay Marriage. I think the reason we did it is because, aside from all the noble things, we don't give a flying f*ck in MA what consenting adults do. (It's the Mind Your Own Business side of us Yanks.) I think in that regard we are actually different from other parts of the country. What do you think? (And I don't think Gay Marriage is going to be reversed. I really don't. We saw it, it seemed rather ordinary, and the Commonwealth didn't sink into the ocean or anything and well, I guess it's okay.)

95. Well, there was that one
flyer Drudge took - last January or so? The one that had all the talking heads steamed up for a few days until it just fell flat as a pancake?

Up late - oddly energized, considering the hour. I think you're basically right, though. If they'd tried to make him out to be a lady-killer it would have murdered their storyline - the boring stiff no one likes.

One oddity I dug up before the primaries. I don't know if you ever saw this, but back in 2000 when Gore was considering Kerry as his veep, there was all manner of freakout in the press over how Kerry's charisma was going to bury Gore.

Interesting, no?

114. True.
I honestly like him. I mean, apart from all my entirely logical arguments that he has been a very good Senator (insert wonky, wonky, wonky stuff here), I really like him. I completely admire him for what a phenomenal job he did raising his daughters under extremely difficult circumstances. (This is a huge thing with me.) His daughters are everything you want a kid to be, smart, sassy, down-to-earth, strong, intelligent, sweet and charming. They are wonderful. I loved them on the campaign trail. I hope their lives are going well and they have been able to move on. (And of course, I credit his ex for doing a good job as well. A remarkable thing, considering how messy and painful that divorce was.)

The Drudge thing was obviously false. This type of ethical violation just wouldn't happen. Not ever. Not his style.

It's just too bad that the charming, goofy side we all know and love didn't come out (or if it did, it was distorted.) The joking side that is on display at the St Pat's day roasts. The self-deprecating humor. The ability to put people at ease. The charm. Maybe next time.

146. When my daughter was working for the campaign
Vanessa was sitting at the next computer working too - just another Kerry Kid. I'm with you on that. My father was emotionally absent, so I have a deep appreciation for a father who is a great father to his daughters. My husband is amazing with our daughter - as a result she's strong, sassy and self-confident. Not unlike our own WildEyedLiberal here. ;-)

I read a cute story. Vanessa was talking about giving her dad fashion advice for windsurfing. She told him under no circumstances should he wear jam shorts over his wetsuit. And then he did anyway, and she was laughing about how on him it was somehow cool - in a dorky way. I love that story. It illustrates their relationship in a lovely way.

112. Tay Tay What I Think Is
When they were trying to dig into Kerry's private life and wasn't able to get anything was simply because Kerry is the type man that would be a picky man in who he dated. And what I mean by that he would want to date women that felt like he did about what happen in your private life was none of anyone's damn business and he wouldn't date a woman who like to run her mouth and brag all the time or if things did go sour would stab him in the back later. I know they tried their damnest to get the lady that was his law partner who he ended up seeing pretty seriously to talk and she more less told them to go to hell. I think she is a judge now. I'm not saying he might not of made a mistake like with this blonde flake that is trying to get rich off a book by telling the world she had an affair with him. But I think she is exaggerating some of that shit. I don't believe all the shit she is telling it don't make sense and it don't fit the man. But that is why they couldn't get no dirt him.

Yeah! And proud of it!

I never responded to your comment about gay marriage, I realize. I completely agree that it's no accident we were first, and I don't believe for a second it will be reversed. It's here to stay. And I think the reason is exactly what you said - no one gives a flying f*ck what consenting adults do here. I live in Brookline, where it seems sometimes like half the population is gay. Who cares? They go shopping and call the plumber and send their kids to school just like everyone else.

It is very Yankee to keep private things private. God knows there have been plenty of kinky old-stock Yankees (where's that term come from, anyway? have to look it up). You know, "good fences make good neighbors" is really the New England code. At least in the Boston area. Worcester - well, that may be an entirely different story.

So if you hate him, why'd you elect him? (Not you personally, obviously, but you know.)

against this stiff, party hack Boston dem lady no one really liked. I voted for her, but a lot of people fell for his oiliness.

We have a recent history of electing slick repug governors who lust after national office. They do a shitty job here, then accept some sadass appointment (last one ended up ambassador to Canada (he was a dope too) and make us suffer throught he rest of their term with their lame-o lieutenant governors in charge - past two time, stupid, stupid women.

Sigh. We are liberal here, but for some reason they love them some repug governors. I don't get it.

Typing getting sloppy - I think I need to go to sleep.

178. LOL well if it makes you feel better
Illinois elected the world's hugest crook (currently on trial for racketeering and taking bribes while he was Sec. of State) over a common sense and charismatic Dem.

Why?

Because Chicago didn't like Poshard (the Dem) because he was from *gasp* Southern Illinois.

Seriously, I like how Chicago makes us liberal, but without their anointment, a pol's career here is doomed. And they hold downstate pols in something of a contempt. So I am not the biggest fan of the Chicago machine, "liberal" though it may be.

Because they got us stuck with George fucking Ryan, crook of the universe.

187. LOL
He's up for reelection in 2006. Most here think he will get some cushy appointment and stick us with his dipshit lt. governor, Kerry Healey, and won't run at all.

Two people I know are thinking of running - Mike Capuano, who I actually know personally, slightly, and the AG Tom Reilly. Capuano would be excellent, and he's from totally urban Somerville so his seat is safe dem.
