Right wing Catholics all upset about Obama speaking at Notre Dame

And now they're trying to strong arm the administration of Notre Dame into rescinding the invitation the school made to President Obama to speak at the commencement this spring and receiving an honorary degree.

The National Right to Life Committee really turns my stomach even more now. I hope Notre Dame sticks to its guns and doesn't rescind the invitation. I hope Notre Dame stands up to the far right and allows the graduates to experience the honor of having a sitting President address their commencement.

2. And now the Bishop there has decided to boycott the ceremony

Now Bishop John D'Arcy is now doing his own political/publicity stunt...excuse me, I meant boycott of the graduation ceremony.

Why is it lately any time there's a Bishop in the news I'm even more put off by the hierarchy by the time I get done reading the story?
