Strattera boosted my metabolism - for a while... are there similar drugs?
It didn't do much for my attention problem (it did work a bit), but I lost a lot of weight on it despite little change in appetite.

Are there similar drugs that boost the metabolism? (not adderall)

1. Topamax didn't boost my metabolism
But for the first +/- 6 months I was on it it completely obliterated my appetite. I had to force myself to eat, and even when I did I could only eat a small amount at a time (perhaps 4-6 oz). I lost 74lbs overall.

2. On the other hand,
Topamax did nothing for me, so go figure.

3. It did nothing for my friend Mike either
And my sister tried it but couldn't get past 50mg a day due to side effects. Like any medication everybody has a different experience.

4. Wellbutrin has an appetite suppressant effect on me.
It's probably not as strong a suppressant as Strattera, though.
