1. Nope
;-)

I'm not going to push you anymore to take your photography out into the real (non virtual) world. If you enjoy what you're doing and having fun that's all that matters.

Love the constrast (is that the correct word?) of the foreground. Very soothing photograph. Peaceful. Serene. Kewl.
:hippie:

2. Thanks, F.
This was the last shot I got before the battery went dead. :( Right after this, the sun came out from under that cloud and left a beatiful trail of light dancing out across the foreground water. Oh, well, I guess you can't catch them all.

I haven't given up on the website idea -- I'm just thinking that I'll wait until after we get back from our trip next month because I just know I'm going to see some really great stuff, and I'll have more variety. You here will be the first to know.

I really appreciate your confidence in my abilities and encouragement.

5. Dead battery? That sucks.
Wish I could tag along with the two of you next month. Sounds like fun. If you decide to do a website I know I'll try to help out and I'm sure there are others here that would as well.

6. I probably will need some help
setting up a website, so you'll probably be hearing from me. What I'm looking forward to most with the trip is that we'll be stopped at different places long enough for me to take lots of different kinds of shots, experiment with the settings and so on. With our little day trips, I always feel kind of rushed and worried about if HullBoss is bored or not. On this trip he can fish or pan for gold and I can play around all I want to with the camera. Plus, the scenery is so different up north, it's almost like going to a different part of the country.

7. I understand what you're saying
Like it best when I can go off by myself... no time limits... no pressure. There's this book I'd really recommend reading before you head out.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0817463003/ref=pd_sim_p_4/002-3679239-0796807?%5Fencoding=UTF8&v=glance&n=283155

I've learned so much from it. I tried using one of the "techniques" in the book when I did my flower snaps but I screwed up the focus big time. I was so bummed because the background came out great. :(

9. Thanks for the tip on the book...
We're ordering both of them on that page. HullBoss also bought me a couple of cool books this morning on using Paint Shop Pro X, too, so we should see some improvement here.

8. I lied...
THIS one is really the last picture before the battery went dead. It was in the other little folder thingy from the memory card that I forgot to download last night. I think I like this one better.

3. A day without one of your sunsets
Is like a day without sunshine. Um, or something.

Very nice!

4. Another Wow, simply gorgeous shot.
There is no such thing as to much when it comes to your sunset photos. I wanna know when you get your website too.
