You would not believe the amount of snow that's falling out of the sky tonight. (Well, maybe F.Gordon and RadFem would.) They kept saying all day that it was going to snow 12 inches this weekend, but it was just a flurry here and there until tonight. Now it's just pouring down. It's really quite amazing. ... I just hope the kids can get over here tomorrow for Christmas.

6. *sigh
All the incredible shots of winter- and now another one that is simply magical.

You northerners are making me homesick. It's hard to hold onto the reasons for heading south when viewing winter through the gorgeous photos you all are sharing here.

I swear y'all could take a picture of stacked and tarped cords of wood and make me miss trudging out in the dead of winter to replenish the indoor stock. You're that good.

beautifully done. thank you.

9. See the settings I posted to Maestro
The trick is the flash and just a little playing around in PaintShop to increase the contrast. I just shot up into the branches of a birch tree in my neighbor's yard. And, by the way, it's STILL snowing this morning. It's just incredible looking.

11. How's the weather there, F?
Did you guys get dug out? HullBoss is up on our flat carport roof even as I speak shoveling off so we don't have any Christmas disasters. I think it would have held, but we do have sort of a bowed beam, so better safe than sorry. I think we got another five inches or so last night. It looks just fantastic.
