Tubing Down Boulder Creek
I went to Boulder Creek on Saturday and watched the college kids go tubing. It looked like a lot of fun! Now, I just have to find someone who will go do it with me.

1. Looks nice. what state? That has to be California because the
one in Colorado is so cold the people tubing would be blue from the cold.

2. It IS Colorado!
It's Boulder Creek in Boulder, Colorado. I'll tell you how cold it is when I find someone to go with me!

On the other hand, maybe that's why I only see high school and college kids in there... They seem to have a different thermostat than us 'old folks'.

4. The only person I ever saw in that creek was a burned out acid freak.

5. Must have been a long time ago!
It's a very popular place for the high school and college kids to hang out. That place is packed every weekend. There are tube rental places all over the west end of Pearl Street Mall in the summertime.

3. That looks wonderful! (I'm a BIG fan of tubing/whitewater anything wet.)
Until my late uncle's doctor said 'no,' I'd visit him in the Phoenix area 3 times a year to go tubing on the Salt River ... me in my 50s and him in his 70s. It was our joy ... 110 degrees in the shade, 55 degree water, and 38 degree 12 oz curls. Five hours in the Arizona sun, both brown as berries, sheer heaven.

(The 'college girls' on the riverbanks wearing thong bathing suits added to the ambiance.)

6. That is awesome, TahitiNut!
Sounds like a lot of great memories you have of your uncle. And yes, I'm sure the college girls did provide quite a bit of ambiance. ;)
