Aftermath of Fire(Following WannaJump!)
I went up to what used to be the Richmond Hill Inn today, following that amazing shot of the blaze that WannaJump posted. Not much is left. It was arson, almost assuredly. Here is what's left:

1. Oh my! That's a lot of damage
How awful, especially if it was set deliberately.

Those close ups of the damage are pretty cool though. And a bit creepy, like they've already become part of history.

2. These photos tell the story. That's phenomenal, and so sad. You very
brilliantly worked with the soot to show the sadness.
I sent them to my son and grandson, natives of Asheville and they are getting the "Picture"through yours.
I know you are sad, too. And I suspect going there and making this emotional record of what you found was a real adventure.

5. There is a alot of anger and sadness.
It was arson, they have confirmed, now. It must take a huge amount of self-importance to think your problems are more important than a part of a city's history.

4. I lost a home to fire once..
Along with all my family's heirlooms, photos and the like..

And a relative just got burned out of their home the day after Christmas.

Your pictures touched me deeply, thanks for posting.

6. It is such a sad event.
I'm sorry you've had to go through it. When I was in grade school, a friend up the street lost his home to a fire just before Christmas, it was devastating.
