I did a similar thing in my wave photo...

It really concentrates your view.

3. Cool use of contrast.
It makes it very surreal.

I can see this printed very large, like 6 feet wide, like an abstract painting.

I don't know what the horizon looked like, but it looks to me like removing it was beneficial. WJMS ended up with a nice abstracted look this way. Jackson Pollack on Ice?
