Damn - another one bites the dust (storm damage) and a notice from me
The notice is that I'll be traveling the next almost two weeks.
I will be visiting friends in Costa Rica who put me up and take me on tours for free(who would say no to that - I myself say: If not now, when?)
and I hope to return with some pictures of monkeys in trees and rain forest splendor.

I may have internet, I may not.

The photos are self evident. I woke up to this mess along with the blaring of my alarm system set off by high winds and torrents of rain.

1. Have a great trip
They have cool looking birds in Costa Rica, too, I'm sure :)

Sorry about the limb but at least it isn't a whole tree. We've had those same storms here as Mississippi, just not as bad. It's been pretty windy.

Look forward to seeing your photos from the trip!

2. Thank you very much!
I'll try for some birds, though that is your specialty.
The tree is all sawed up and at the curb. I was so lucky no vehicle was in the lot.

3. The whole tree?

or just the limbs that were damaged? Sorry to see either go.

Definitely try to capture some of the tropical birds. Enjoy your trip, forget about work, trees etc for the next couple weeks and just relax. The insanity of life and DU will be here when you get back.

5. So this year you have lost a huge branch in both
the front and back yards.
Considering what the storm was like here before it headed your way, glad you had no more damage.
I used to be able to sleep during storms until we got the dog.
Now he barks EVERY time it thunders. Makes for long and noisy nights.
